Buck 119-$41.24

I just picked up a Buck 113 this past week. I was looking for a small 3-inch fixed blade knife I could carry in a cross-draw horizontal sheath. I prefer a fixed blade I can get to quickly when I'm leading the pack string. When things get crazy and a mule goes over a ledge (heaven forbid) or gets in a jam, believe me, you can't cut rope fast enough.

Every Buck knife I've ever gotten comes razor sharp right out of the box. You can't beat that.

Sweet deal. If my brother didn't already own two 119s, I'd take advantage of this sale to get him one for Christmas.

Looks like in store pickup only. :(

Yeah, and no Rural King within a few hundred miles of my neighborhood.
On the other hand, the Buck factory in Post Falls is just 11-12 miles from here and I'll bet there are some deals to be had in their factory store. ;)

Well RK took a big dump on me. IMO
Received e-mail about sale, called store, yes stock.
Placed order, received notice ready for pick up. Got dressed,2 min later
new e-mail- order canceled, money refunded. 1 hr. & 48 min. total
Today they said we didn't have stock, I think RK made mistake
selling it too cheap or store employee's friend bought all. IDK
But so done with Rural King and $300-500 yr. buying items with a
50 mile drive (2x25). YMMV Cut Tractor Supply off over drag queen
with kids, BS, the week before.

Lots of great knives out there, and while I own other brands of knives, for me, Buck has always provided a high quality knife at a very reasonable price. I was a teen when I first fell in love with their knives, and since then, I've added a few to my working collection: 118, 119, 193-1, a 422 Bucklite Folder I inherited from my FIL, and most recently, a 4-inch, 102 fixed-blade Woodsman that fills a niche between the folder and the longer fixed-blades. With a Forever warranty, I don't think you can go wrong with a Buck.

Bucks truly are an excellent value. And I like how you can send your knife back to them for their "spa" treatment — polishing and sharpening — for ~$10.

I have a 119 that I keep at home to butcher my big game. I would have liked to have picked up another one for $41.00.
For field use, I carry a Buck 105.
