Everybody needs at least one cheap gun in their collection. Here's mine; an H&R Model 733 in .32 S&W Long. It actually shoots pretty well and has a decent double action trigger pull. I'm proud to say I didn't give much money for it. I only have one other H&R firearm, an H&R SB2 Handi-Rifle in .45-70 Government. It's a keeper but a handful of nasty recoil. Photo #3 shows a comparison between the S&W Model 31 and the H&R 733. The larger grip on the S&W makes it much easier to fire accurately. The H&R grip is too small.

But the H&R is certainly more pocketable. These are easy to date, all you need to know is the letter(s) prefix to the serial number.

Where did you get that grip? I have a 32 long model 733 that I got when my father passed. It has a pearl handle that is to small for me. I want a bigger one like you have.

Here’s one (by H&R - the same gun, I believe, with a non-fluted cylinder) called “Victor.” Perhaps sold through Sears Roebuck or some other retail company(ies).
