Bought this last week . 4.25” .44 Magnum. The single action and the double action out of the box is much smoother than any out of the box Smith I’ve bought . The cylinder is 3/16 of an inch longer than my 629. Yeah I know it needs some decent grips .
The one thing about it I don’t like is the grooved trigger . After about 30 or so rounds of magnums my finger is quite sore.

Better than the nasty wood grips that come with the Pythons. Guns is for shootin not lookin at and the woodys look purty but not good for my sensitive hands.

Looks like its a rear sight away from perfection to me!

I took the edges off my Pythons trigger and although not as good as a target trigger, much better than stock. Just a little quality time with some 150/220/320/400 grit sandpaper on a small spool is all it took. ;)

If possible Id like to see a pic of that trigger . Thanks.

One of my biggest goofs was passing on an 8" Anaconda, 44 magnum. This was about 12 years ago. It was tagged at $995.00 in a small gun shop and I'm sure they would have sold for $950 or less. Oh well...

I was so bothered by the sharp edge on my new Python’s trigger that I covered it with some Talon Grip rubber tape. Not the most elegant solution, but I didn’t have the heart to start sanding away on a brand new revolver.

Love my 6". Favorite sport with it is ring the 9" gong at 60 yds. It's that easy to shoot with 44 magnums.
To be fair, my model 2.75" 69 has about the same quality trigger action, both excellent.
