About 1957 I got a Colt 44 Special 7 1/2 inch made in 1926. 5 years older than I am. That old gun & I have been friends for many years. First I had a S&W 1926 44. It was OK but after reading Keiths book on Six Guns I had a to have an old Colt. I have shot the Hell out that old Colt since then. Elmers loads were too hot for me so backed them about 3 grains. Taken 5 bucks with that load over the years. It's retired now as I am. For your information I'm still a old 44 guy.

By coincidence, yesterday was my .44 range day. Every week I try to take a different two or three guns to the range. Yesterday was my day to take two of my favorite .44's.

At one time I had several more than I have now but they went the way of grandsons. These will go home with another next month when he comes to visit. I'll sure hate to see them go but it will probably only be an excuse to buy replacements. I really like .44's in all their forms. The mule deer was shot at 75 yds with a Kieth load out of a Super Blackhawk. One photo shows a S&W 629, Ruger Super Redhawk and A S&W 624. The other two photos show targets from yesterday. The last photo shows the Super Redhawk and an earlier target. I'll be 75 years old on Friday and suffer from cataracts so don't judge my shooting too harshly.
