People need to see that guns are not a threat to some in society but a protector of all society.

I'm not on a mission to teach the public everytime I leave the house.
That,, and like I stated earlier,sometimes it's eaiser to just drop a gun in the pocket instead of strapping a belt and holster on.

Perhaps the people who don't own shotguns with barrels under 18" aren't on a mission to teach the public every time they buy a shotgun.

The problem is them not caring when others lose a right.
Just because they have no interest in it, it doesn't matter whose right is lost, they don't care.
Until it comes down to their rights.
Then it may be to late for anyone to care.

Nobody is advocating doing nothing because "there is nothing we can do". The discussion is about tactics that will work. The confrontational "rub their face in it" approach has alienated the anti's even further and resulted in an ever increasing erosion of our RKBA. That is a very simple fact.

And there are others who disagree and give their reasons why.
You, on the other hand have not posted anything on this whole thread except a few posts that only consisted of you kissing butt!
None of your posts had any bearing on the subject either pro or con.
What is your purpose of ever posting anything ???
You never add anything to either side of the discussion, other than being a smart alec cheerleader.

I counted up the "votes" on this thread. The unit of measure is individuals, not posts. I think we're all pretty much agreed that "one man, one vote" is a good idea.

That's a 75% to 25% majority in favor of not shooting ourselves in the foot.

By the way, attached are two photos of the tactical Ninja gun Willy was screaming about that I openly carry, when I openly carry.

Just seen in the lounge that MSNBC is running a poll on the same question.
So far with over 16,200 votes it's 62.3%for open carry and 37.7% against open carry around the president.
It's pretty sad when a site that panders to the extreme left, runs a poll about carrying guns and has more votes for the freedom of exercising the rights of gun owners than the Smith and Wesson Forums!

You all that are afraid of upsetting the anti gunners should hang your head in shame.
The anti gunners don't look at open carry as pro gunners trying to rub their face in it.
They look at those that didn't open carry as scared or weak.

I seldom get into such frays. The anti-gun lobby already hates gun owners, so their opinion is of no consequence.

However, the non-gun public looks at open carry with fear, not respect. No matter the venue, public carry when a head of state is in the area is not the best method of making a point, legal or not. It's far too easy in these situations for "plants" to infiltrate and marginalize the gun rights cause.
