Please forgive my ignorance in asking this question, but I'd like to know if the newer style thumb latch will easily fit older S&W revolvers, such as the 19-3 or 686-3? Also are they the same or different between frame sizes? Thanks. -Ed. [email protected].

Thanks for the info. I like the new style on my 637-2, and would like to put the same style on my 686-3. Heck, if it comes in chrome and the price is right, I might even put them on my 19-3's. Are there any problems I might encounter or any tips or tricks of which I should be aware, or is a simple remove and replace operation? -Ed.

Thanks. Will I need to change out the screw as well, or are the screws the same for the old and new style cylinder thumb latch? Who would be better to get the parts from, Brownell's or S&W? -Ed.

Actually it's a nut and they're the same. As for where to buy, pick your poison. Midway may have them too. i suppose it's a matter of if there's anything else you need to get also.
