How many of you are lucky enought to have a 'Gun Room'?

NOW I can post my well organized and spotlessly clean gun bench!

( I'm gonna'... straighten this out... & clean it up ...someday...)

Makes me sick.

I have a storage system called "the piles". Named after the debris piles where I store my stuff. Wife and sons aren't brave enough to venture near them. The fear is a debris slide. Its just amazing I can find anything.

On the positive side, sometimes when I have boredom I take a look at the piles and come up with a bunch of cool stuff I forgot I owned. I have a chair and a couch, but neither are of any value because both are covered with junk I dumped there. Years ago the chair was really comfortable, but now it acts as a stand for my gunshowing duffels. Some day soon I plan on digging it out. I looked at it last night and discovered a few microfiber towels, neatly sealed in plastic. Maybe I should try them. I also noted some factory letters on the chair. Preserved in plastic sheathes. Gotta see what guns those cover. Probably ones I sold years ago.

When we build our new condo, I got to design the basement. In it is a gun room that is 11'X21' and has a 4'X7' concrete vault in the corner.
I build in work bench's on 3 walls in a "U" shape. First is my gun work/cleaning bench.

Then the bench that has my old Texan multi stage press that I load all rifle and low volume pistol on.

Then the 3rd side has my Dillon and my Mec 9000G,

Then the short wall (vault wall) has trophies (from when I could still shot decently), and the back wall has shelving for gun cases etc.

Just outside this room is my workshop, that has a 10 meter airgun range built in.

I'm lucky, as upstairs is my "office" (the 2nd bedroom) with my roll top desk, computer station, my recliner, and bookcases. Between these two, I can always get away.

Smithhound:

Alas, no gun room for me but our basement is not finished so there is potential. Just have to find the time, money, and then discuss with the missus. The last part is usually the hardest....

RLingo:

Awesome is the only word that comes to mind when I look at your pictures. Very nicely done. I am envious (but in a good envious way).

H Richard:

OK, you're a close second to RLingo with regard to tidiness. You have got some square footage in your santuary and it is all put to good use. Sweet.

Since I started this thread I feel obligated to post a couple of pic's of my room, some aren't that great.
Cleaning payed off tho, I actually found a small Dog living in here! I knew things had gotten out of control but not that bad, he must have been surviving on the box of runts.

Isn't it incredible the amoun of stuff you can fit into a small space? Once, several years ago I hauled everything out of here and it filled the back half of the basement up, took a month or more to get it all back in and my Wife lost a bet for dinner that it could be done.
As I said this is my space and i wouldn't trade it for the world.
Y'all enjoy the Holidays and keep on enjoying our hobby.

WOW; You guys sure keep a neat shop. Mine is 12x16, mower, chain saw, hedge clippers, drill press, grinder, table saw, air compressor, 8 ft. workbench & 6 Ft. reloading bench with 3 presses used up all the room. Oops, forgot the Honda 90 Trail bike.

Well what the heck ,neat its not! My man cave is a tiny little room in our old shack, its the only room that has not been remodeled and I claimed it mine. I think I do not have enough room, about the only place I havent used is the ceiling!

Hey, Bob. I swear I saw a vaccuum cleaner buried in there. Nah. Must of been my imagination.

Hey Matt, yeah thats a vacume cleaner! Not for the man cave, it's for the rest of the upstairs. Real men dont vacume thier man cave!

Hey s&wChad and deadin I showed my wife a picture of your "rooms" and she said they're almost as bad as mine. She calls mine the Boars Nest. At first she thought I was showing her a picture of my brothers when I showed her s&wChads room. Don't be insulted chad. My bro has worked real hard to get the right shift to each pile. Rlingo, I'm sure that I have at least 3 of everything you have but I can't prove it without at least a year to find everything. I have a really great system but earth tremors or something keep shifting things around. I'll have to take a couple of pictures tomorrow if I can find the camera. I know it's in there somewhere.

Like cflier,I'd take a picture of mine, if I could find my camera under all this crap. I'm single, so my whole house, and garage is a "nest". It's a heredity thing.

I am lucky enough to have a wife that let us move to this place and build this thing because of guns. And she's cute to boot!

Very cool thread, I always enjoy seeing various gun rooms. Thank you all for sharing.

Looks like the "Neatnics" are posting again. :D
(Eric, I'm envious of your vault!!)
Here's the other half of my mess:
