OK BOXES,what about BOXES

Can't say as I've had the pleasure of finding any boxes yet. I'd love to find some for my circa 1959 model 36, circa 1977 model 39-2 and circa 1980 model 19-4. I'll find them one day.

Three sizes (and colors) of box for pre-war Magnums:

I think the simple truth is that old boxes have value, and some old boxes have a lot of value.

I haven't had time to read all the post about boxes, so if this question was asked, my appologies.
What is the highest price you have ever seen asked for any S&W revolver box?
Thanks.

Look at the ads on this forum. There is a 36 no dash box and manual

S&W Boxes

Hey Boys
Here is a seldom seen S&W J-Frame box. I was told at a collectors show it was an experimental offering, and never put into production. I have seen this box also in Red!!
Happy New Year

Never seen one before. If it didn't have the gun info in it, I would have thought it was a cuff box.

Wooden box that I saved from the Dept dumpster some time in 1975. STILL use it for lead ingots, bullet moulds, etc.

boxes

hi i am new to the forum. i was wondering if you by chance came across any holster brochuers in yhese boxes. i am looking to buy one that has the code nh74 on the lower right of the front cover.

Boxes, did someone start a thread on boxes and I missed it this long?
I am a firm believer in having an original, or at least correct box for every one of my Smiths. To this end here is a collection of both matching boxes and a group of extra boxes - that just need guns to go in them :)

I really need a box for a 27-2 3 1/2" barrel blue finish (Bangor Punta era blue with silver printing). If anyone has on that they would like to sell or donate please PM me.

Those seem to be really hard to find - and I'm not really sure why. Not an awful lot of 3 1/2" guns were made but they are not really "scarce or rare". I've been on the hunt for a BP era box for a nickel 3 1/2" for some time without luck. Seems like the gold boxes for pre model 3 1/2" turn up more often than the modeled guns - and not many of those either. Good luck.

Mike, I could really use one of your Gold boxes for a pre-17.... Note, I said gold box not that the box is worth its weight in gold as so many think:) Kyle.

Unfortunately the pre 17 boxes are not for sale Kyle - for the very reason you are referring to. I couldn't replace one for less than $125 these days. I only have a couple of extra ones right now and I intend to fill those with guns at some point :)
Now I can fix you up with a gold box for about any other K frame for a lot less ...
