new 25 round 15-22 magazine

Hello. I'm a new member. I've had my 15-22 for a few weeks. I really like it but I also have rounds that don't feed right once in a while. They stand up straight and get the sides smashed by the bolt. It's not very often, but I don't really count. I'm using fed. bulk & mini mags (only). I've got about 1000 rds. through mine. I think rip3000gt is on to something with these new magazines. I'd like to try the new mag. & see if it helps. Other than that, it's a lot of fun!

I have seven of the "old style".

The only problem i have EVER had with this, is my first trip to the range with Remington Bulk.

Switched to CCI for several hundred rounds with no problems, then to the Federal bulk with no problems.

Now i cant find .22lr ammo ANYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm lucky recently at Walmart in my area. They had quite a lot of Mini Mags in stock. :D

my local wally world has been out of 22lr for a month. had to make a work trip a few hours away and got lucky stopping at two different walmarts 3 hours away. i'm now 10K federal bulk rounds heavier. too bad for the next guy who wants to buy any, they are now sold out.:D

if anyone is really desperate for .22lr ammo I guess i could sell you some of mine I only have about 50 bulk boxes of federals, but it will cost you $$:D$$

the key is to buy it all when you can

Been checking out two walmarts, and Acadamy. I run into a few minimags here and there but would realy like to find some Federal. Acadamy says they havent had any in months, and both Walmarts have zero idea when if ever they will be getting any.:(

I havent checked Gander Mountain due to the 300% mark up they have on everything in the store. I may have to "bite the bullet" .....pun intended.:D

Yeah, one has to be persistant and keep looking. I find bulk at Wally World about once every ten times I'm in a store. I also have several WW phone #s on my cell phone.

I know the pictures are not the best and yes it is hard to see the difference because it is minimal, I forgot to post in the original message that the distance between the top of the orange slider and the bottom of the groove in the black housing is 3mm for the new and 4 mm for the old, not a lot of difference but some.

I don't believe this will solve the OOB but does help with the Failure To Load, the Failure to Eject was solved by changing the placement of the ejector.

The OOBs still need to be solved because either way the shells should not be crushed by the bolt to the point of setting of the round.

Stupid question but what is "OOB"?
