Any good S&W CCW 9mm

I am planning to buy a CCW sub compact 9mm and was wondering if S&W makes a decent subcompact ccw 9mm similar to Kahr PM9 , Kahr CW or even Taurus PT709 Slim.....I want to keep my weapons in the S&W Family.... I currently have a S&W 642 and a Stainless steel model 686-6 , 4 inch 7 shot

Your best bet size-wise is the discontinued CS9 with the delrin grip mod (shown here with the oem Hogue grips).

You should also consider a Model 3919 or 909. Conceal-ability for a handgun is determined by how wide the slide is and how long the butt is. In both 'less' is 'more.' The length of the barrel/slide assembly doesn't have much to do with conceal-ability within reason. ......... Big Cholla

Hard to do much better than a 3913 or 3914. Look for a lengthy thread on these guns in the last week or so.

I hate to say it,,, but S&W does not make a deep conceal weapon. My next purchase is going to be a Kel-Tec PF-9 and a NNA mini 22 mag revolver. S&W has no game when it comes to deep conceal. And they only start at bricks and work there way up. To think I would carry my Sigma or even delute my self to carry the Sigma would be a dishonor to CC.

All I need is rat pistols to meet my need that go bang!

Well I carry a 5906 or a Kimber pro carry II. Both are about the same size and weight when loaded and I manage either quite well. Unless of course you choose to wear spandex or something stupid enough to print to the whole world. Reliability is the key in my book. It does you no good to carry a feather weight/small weapon in it won't fire when you need it. Heck if it's a plastic gun, you can't even use it for a good club if it doesn't shoot.

I think the best is the Chief but I also like the 908-it is a bit bigger but you must have control of the first shot and the 908 offers wonderful control I think and can be carried inside the waistband in many very good holsters-mine is from Blade tech

I thank God that I live in a state (and area of the state) where I can open carry. That said, I have carried k-frames and an SW40VE Sigma in a Smart-Carry with lots of success a few times. At first glance, the Smart-Carry idea seems a little odd, but it really does work, and is reasonably comfortable unless you insist on wearing pants that are "painted on".
On the other hand, a J-frame in a pocket holster doesn't print noticeably for me either, and is even more comfortable. And I do own a Kel-tec P3AT which can be concealed in any number of ways. CC is all about finding a system that works for you (gun, clothes, holster, etc). I'm about 6'2 and 285, so I can conceal a pretty big gun if I put my mind to it

Why? I know people that carry full size pistols such as the 1911.

You would do quite well with a 3913/3914 or if you can find a CS9 even smaller. S&W discontinued them to pursue the polymer guns. Any third generation S&W is a great choice and is totally reliable. you will not regret getting one of these for CCW! I have both a CS9 and a 3913. Usually carry the 3913 however as it fits me a little better.

As has been mentioned the little CS9 or the 3913 are great weapons and make for very comfortable and reliable ccw's.

FWIW, I favor the M3953, 9mm, stainless, DAO, or the M3954, 9mm, blue, DAO. They are easy to conceal and shoot right on.
