Is anyone else's sight is far to the left. Out of the box my rifle was way off. Sight is also almost all the way up (just a few clicks away.) It's shooting fine now at about 65 feet or so. I use both aperatures with good results. Eye relief is minimal (nose is about an inch from the charging handle). It's just I've heard people say their rifles were basically zeroed out of the box. Is there anything I'm doing wrong? Thanks.

:) I think your sight was made about 4:30 Friday afternoon. If it's shooting OK now I wouldn't worry about it. Don

My stock rear sight was almost all the way to the right out of the box. It zeroed fine and worked well until i replaced it. No worries brotha.

Out of the box, my rear sight was also noticeably to the left, perhaps twice as much free space on the right side of the aperture as on the left side. At the range, the factory settings were dead on, and I have never had to make any adjustments to these S&W stock sights.

Your photo has the optical illusion of making the situation appear worse than it is, because it was shot off center-line, a bit to the left.

Don't forget that you also have an adjustable FRONT sight

Mine was far to the left too. Also, try grabbing the sight (the part that adjusts) and lightly give it a twist. Does it move and then spring back to it's original position?

The space between aperture is about 1/16" on the left and 1/8" on the right side.
"beginingofthend" - The sight is slightly twisted to left. I can slightly turn it to the right but then it goes right back to the left.
Thanks for the info everyone.
