I have a bunch of 38 S&W ammo...looks like "38 Special Shorts"...so the question is....can this be fired safely in the model 10, model 19 model 28???

It all appears to be factory loaded and it is in great condition...

thanks

I like the way you think...can you explain that to my wife....
"Honey, this ammunition is very valuable. It would be a terrible waste of our marital resources and risk to our marital safety not to have a firearm to chamber it in. I'm only thinking of your mother, dear."

I have about 170 rounds...so I am thinking its not enough to worry about selling...but maybe enough to try to find a gun...I used some of your ideas, and she said tshe thought she might enjoy shooting something besides her .22 and she could keep it with her wen we go camping...SCORE...what model am I going to look for.

There are a lot of Victory models around that have not been "modified" by Bubba and are still chambered for this cartridge. Kyle

Bloodhound, I have 3 very nice blue steel S&W Mods. 33 or 33-1, and am looking to sell one of them. You may have seen my ammo testing with some of these on earlier threads. Let me know if interested. In any event, all the best! The .38 S&W is a fun caliber, and can be handloaded to levels that would surprise many.

It won't chamber, .38 S&W is fatter than .38 Special.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy another gun!

Not necessarily true. Of my 19 either .38 Spl or .357 Magnum revolvers, at least one of them will easily accept .38 S&W. I say at least as the 4th one I tried it in worked.

Why? I had 30 rds of .38 S&W Super Police replica loads that were a little warmer than I wished to shoot in my .38 Safety. Just going plinking with them anyway so why not shoot them in something instead of breaking them down? Lots more fun too!

Of all guns, the one they chamber in is a Nickel 5" 27-2.

Never say never. If you had said "Probably won't work" I wouldn't have said a thing about it.
