Model 60 Update

The other day I posted that I had the chance to purchase a Model 60 from a retired FBI agent. Well I went and saw him last night and he sold me the gun with holster for fifty dollars. I told him it was worth more then that, but he insisted. He wanted it out of his home because his young grand daughter was moving in.

He said that since I like Smiths and that I also use to be on the job, he wanted me to have it. True story..these things never happen to me.

Anyway you can post the first part of the serial number so we can see how old it is? It looks to be in pretty good shape. What kind of holster is that?

Serial # R174xxx. The holster is made be DeSantis
