For those of you who own the Threaded Barrel ones and use a suppressor.

Do you use the Crash Washer between the suppressor and the barrel end or not?

Please elaborate why yes or not in either case.

I don't normaly just because the shoulder is what aligns the suppressor to the barrel.. by placing anything in between those mating surfaces you increase the chances of a baffle strike... but I'm sure some one will say they have been using one for years with a crush wash because it helps it from backing off... its your can id call the manuf. and ask them what they recommend

Don't worry about it backing off...If you screw it on tight enough it wont back off.

That doesn't sound good at all.... cuz I ordered a YHM Wraith for use on my 15-22 and Sig 522. Both have barrel threads that are cut .625 long. The Wraith has a threaded depth of only .475.

The manfacture will say not to use a crush washer but as ChattanoogaPhil says some barrels are threaded too long
My Nordic NC22 is threaded for 5/8 and must use a washer. Alignment is perfect


Reguardless if you use a washer or not, you should always remove the bolt and look down the bore.
If it doesn't look right(shadow or whatnot) you should have a gunsmith that's familar with suppressors take a look at it

If the shoulder is square and the bore is concentric it will not make any difference whether or not a washer is used

I have store bought and several Form 1's(homemade) and have had not trouble with the washer/no washer issue on several different firearms
