What's your favorite Smith 9mm.........?

10 pages and no one picked my favorite. It now wears a laser and is part of my homeland security system.

I love my 5946. It's like a 15 round Model 10 (and who doesn't love the Model 10?). I also lust after the Model 39, it will probably be the next gun I buy.

My Favorite Smith 9mm?

It would have to be my tried and true 915. It's the best combination of accuracy, size and cost for me and I really enjoy shooting it. My heart belongs to my 686 and I prefer a revolver but my 915 is a joy to shoot.

I am currently on a quest for some improved sights for it as my vision has changed since last fall's eye surgery. It's no fun getting old but the alternative is worse, MUCH worse.

Try Novak's adjustable rear with a wide notch and a gold bead front they give a great sight picture. Ship them the slide and they'll install them for you. Pretty fast turnaround too.

If that doesn't do it the next step is a Docter red dot.

THANKS for the information. I will check into the Novak as your description sounds like what I need.

3913 without hesitation. However, I recently replaced the upper on my 439 with a 3914 and it feels a little better in my hand.

My 2 favorite 9mm's

I have a CS9 that is great to carry followed by my 6906... Also great to carry, but I also have a Keltec Sub 2000 folding carbine and the Sub 2000 and the 6906 can share 59xx mags.

My M&P 9C has become my favorite S&W. It seems to do everything very well in a compact size. Reliable, comfortable, and accurate.

That CS9 is one really cool pistol.

I've got a 39 with a 4 digit serial no. It came with the box, papers, and even the brown wax-type paper they used to wrap them in. I really don't think it's been fired. It is just flawless, so I just can't bring myself to shoot it. I've got a really nice 439. That's the one I shoot.
You have some great looking S & W's in your collection. Nice pictures!
