New 45c owner!

I just picked up a new M&P .45c for that exact price! I have wanted one in this color for a while. Cannot wait to shoot it.

Man, you're lucky on that price. I'm waiting on the next sale to get the full size .40 for my home defense weapon.

I had one, it was a great gun, but I sold it to my bubby's brother. Helping him out, they were unavailable here. I have been meaning to get one since, but have been dragging my heels. I finally found one at a great price. I hope to have it next week. The M&P 45s are the best M&Ps around.

I scored one of these over the week-end; just like the OP's. No steenkin' ancillary junk such as manual safeties, mag disconnects, locks, etc.

While I dearly love my EDC HK45C, it does not lend itself well to mounting a RDS for carry, and I'm heading in that direction as my eyes steadily deteriorate. The G30 is too fat for me (even with a grip reduction) and the G36 doesn't hold enough burrets for my taste.

Then I ran across this pistol in a gun shop, and was somewhat impressed; so I bought it. I continue to be impressed with it overall, as I continue to shoot it and get familiar with it. I was expecting this horrible, atrocious trigger action, but it actually feels just like a Glock with a five pound connector... to me, anyway. I'll have Bowie clean it up when he does the Trijicon RDS install, but I could live with it as is if I had to.

Lot more recoil than the HK45C, though. You don't realize just how much recoil that HK buffer absorbs, until you shoot a similar pistol without it.

I really do NOT want to give up the HK, but reality intrudes; I simply cannot see the sights well enough anymore. Getting old sucketh large....

Anyone know of a source of IN STOCK magazines? Every place I have looked at is out; even Midway and CDNN. I want a couple of ten rounders and two more eight rounders with the flat floorplate.

.

Gunbroker.com had them for $399 brand new. I picked up my .40 there. The dealer is about 6 miles from me (yeah!). I'll see if he has any left.

Meanwhile, I put another 150+ rounds through her today. With some more insight on my trigger pull/grip via YouTube videos, I'm grouping waaaaay better now. I was using the 8" Dirty Bird targets & had but 2-3 fly aways not in the black. I'm loving it.

Got my 3rd session at the range this weekend. I'm getting way better at my accuracy/trigger control for point of aim. I'm actually not seeing my hits because I'm hitting the same hole in a group . . . which is unusual for me.

I tried adding holding the trigger in & easing off for the reset between shots, but it introduced a random double tap on occasion! Guess it's something to work on.

Also, the stock trigger is wearing on my finger. I'm seriously considering the DCAEK now.

With the weather clearing up, I'll be hitting the range some more soon.

Got my brand new CS-45 unfired picking it up this week, what is a
DCAEK ?

is that a Chiefs Special..... this is about the M&P.... you know what they are.. right? As for the DCAEK... IT'S a trigger improvement kit from Apex Tactical for M&P's, not sure if they make anything for the old CS's

Question about Holsters...
I am also a new owner of a M&P 45C, but i'm having a hard time finding many locking holsters for it. Anyone know of a good locking, concealable, and comfortable holster for this?
Thanks.
