When I bought this gun I wanted a good percision firearm I read it a had a match grade barrel so I figured it would be a tack driver. I have been hearing rumors of poor performance I did just got a scope so I will get an idea soon but what is everyones thoughts on this?

Well, its no 'precision rifle' but there are guys getting pretty respectable 100yd groups with magnified optics.

Its never going to be on the same level as some of the custom built match guns, even though the barrel is great. It simply wasnt built for that.

I'd compare it to the accuracy of a stock Ruger 10-22, with the Ruger possibly being a hair more accurate.

Damn i bought my girlfriend a 10-22 for vd lol ill be pissed if she out shoots me :o

The 15-22 is no "precision firearm". The terms "match" and "tack driver" are so overused these days it's sickening. Nonetheless, the 15-22 is more than accurate enough for it's intended purposes. I was reminded of that on the range today, hitting shotgun hulls at various distances was no problem at all. Cannot ask for more than that in a 22 rifle with a high fun factor.

I can tell you that my M&P 15-22 isn't as accurate as my CMMG. They have the same scope, sights, etc. At 25 yards it's grouping at just under 3 inches (full magazine). My CMMG is grouping under 2 inches (full magazine). I'm going to shoot it more this weekend and see if the groupings are better. I "think" it will get better now that the barrel is broken in. We'll see.

It's no precision shooter, but mine seems to group a lil better than that....I usually get about 1 inch groups at 25yds.

Maybe its just me but I doubt it, I'm certainly no deadeye.

Guessing its more to do with ammo than anything.

Also make sure there isnt any undue weight straining the front of the gun. Its all polymer, so you'd be surprised the effect that a taut sling or heavy flashlight will have on groups.

I put a Green Mountain barrel on my 10-22 and a decent scope. On a good day if I do my part, it will shoot 1" groups at 100 yds.

50'

I've shot my MOE indoors and so far it can be pretty good or a shot-gun depending on the ammo, CCI being it's favorite food so far. The following pics are of me shooting off a bi-pod and a good cheek weld. I'm going to take a vise with me the next time and see just how consistent it is, at 50'.

I'm looking forward to shooting out side.

I get 2 inch groups at 50yds with mine..... NC star 6x42 scope ...shots taken resting on a bipod.

thanks for all the great feedback we talk a lot about add ons and tinkering not too much on the actual shooting of our rifles I think we should start a thread called the "range report " where we can share videos, pics. or just talk about shooting varmits at close range and ofcourse ZOMBIES:D

well im going shooting tom, with my girlfriend i got her a nice 10-22 and we both have scopes now so it should be fun to see what shoots better god I hope she doesn't beat me lol :o

you are shooting a 1" grouping of 25 rounds? he said that his was with a full mag. thats pretty danged impressive if you are keeping 25 rounds in a 1" group with the 15-22

This was 50 rounds at 25 yards using Winchester 333's.

Was it open sights ?

BSA panoramic red dot. I was sitting behind the bench using a sand bag type of rest. There are about 4 or 5 holes that were due to either breathing or trigger pull. I want to try it again with some Mini Mags soon. The red dot on mine is exactly 1" at 25 yards which is the size of the bull's eye, so that's about as accurate I can get with it.
