Bought a Sigma 40 about 3 years ago and was always kind of secretly ashamed shooting at the range among all the guns that were 3-5 times more expensive. My sigma has been my primary carry weapon and got over my secret shame through time. Earlier this month I bought a M&P 9c with ctc grips I fell deeply in love with it the moment it touched my eager little fingers. I paid well over 2 x the amount I paid for my Sigma, I instantly disregarded the Sigma and came Damn near trading it in for a cheap used revolver, I told myself I'll wait until after I shoot the M&P, and I was glad I waited. The day after I bought the M&P I went to a local range with 200 rounds of Independance 115 gr 9mm luger the little guy shot beautifully a little low and to the left after about 150 rounds which I've read is common for a new gun. Took the gun home to clean it thouroughly and graduate it as my new carry weapon as I started field stripping to my shock the surface of the tip of the barrel was checked and marred up took the gun to the dealer I bought it from and was informed I would have to send it back!!
It's been over 2 weeks still waiting I'm not bashing S&W at all from what people who have had a similar problem S&W makes it right but does not give an explanation. I have a great respect for my Sigma.
