Sold my two Glocks yesterday. After buying an M&P Pro 5" and a standard M&P I didn't shoot the Glocks anymore. Nothing against the Glocks, but the M&P's just felt better.

I'm a diehard Glock fan. I own a bucket full of them. I got a NIB M&P .40 the other day on another gun deal. I might be in the same boat and be sending the Glocks down the road after shooting this M&P. I couldn't shoot my primary G21 accurately today to save my life. I was pounding targets with the M&P and my Kimber. I shot everything well today except the Glocks....

I know....... I am in the same boat.......
Since the dept went to the M&P I have bought my own as well.
The GLOCK just sits safe and clean in the gun safe.

Add me to the club. Like I have said many times; the M&P's are everything I loved about Glock but nothing that I hated. They are equal in reliability, they are equal in accuracy and they are equal in quality. But only the M&P cam boast excellent ergonomics and that they are made in the USA.

I've got a G22 and an M&P . Took my brother to the range for his first time shooting a handgun. Had him shoot both. He said he liked the way the M&P felt much more. I agreed, but it was nice to see it wasn't just me. lol

I plan on finding the Glock a new home with someone else. It won't be getting replaced with another M&P though, I am going to get a 3rd Gen S&W. :)

I guess I am the oddball. I have an M&P 45 FS and just picked up a Glock 23. Just got back from the range where I was able to place all shots from the M&P in 9 and X rings at 10 yards. Thing is, as much as I dislike Glock, I basically placed all my shots with the G23 anywhere I pointed. With the M&P, I had to focus and line up the shot. With the G23, it seemed I didn't even have to try to shoot the nasal cavity out on a B-27. I plan to keep both, but I was extremely surprised at the results.

My Glock 19 is "combat accurate" for me. I love the gun, and it's usually what I carry, but unless I'm really concentrating on pressing the trigger slowly to the rear, I end up with a 4-5" group at 10 yards. Slow fire, I can usually keep them in an inch, but that's unrealistic in a SD scenario.

My M&P 45, since I put in the Apex sear, is scary in how easily I can place shots at speed. It's like the shots go where I look.

Still ringing the gun out, but once that's done it's going into carry duty. I'll still carry the G19 a lot, because when it's really hot here and I'm only wearing a light t-shirt, the Glock is easier to conceal than the full-size 45.

I was thinking about buying a glock or the m&p, but I'm leaving towards the m&p sure to s&w having a better warranty

I own a Glock 19 gen4, on my parents last visit my father brought a few of his handguns to the range for us to fire. I had only fired a .40 a few times using a friends glock 23C, my father a tarus pt24/7 I was surprised how much smoother it was then the g23c probably due to the compensation. After reading everyones reviews and tons of forums and so on both positive and negative I did something I said I would never due, I purchased a new M&P .40 having never fired it, I pick it up tomorrow at 5 and will be going right to the range I am sure I will like it.

I still can't decide between the SR40 and an M&P. I like the way the M&P feels in the hand but everyone raves how the SR40 is the softest recoiling .40SW they have ever felt. They are both US made and I have reasons for wanting them both. Maybe I should get…

Got my M&P40 and will not get another Glock. I had already sold my 2 Glocks(19,23) and was going to get another when I got a deal on this M&P. I have never been happier and will not be getting any more Glocks. Ergonomics, trigger, overall I prefer the M&P.

I just posted one of my Glocks on various sites to possibly make room for a M&P 9 mm after shooting my .40 this weekend. I have to say that's a big deal in my world since Glocks have been my standard for several years.

i wasa sig guy. i loved my 226 dak,and 228 and 239.shot he hell out of them.last fall went to a shoot, and shot a mpc9 and ds9.the sigs are gone. i have has 5 cervicle neck fusions,so i really am recoil shy.and i swear the mp is 20 to 30 less recoil.the gun looks good and shoots good.and sw has been great with cs.free mag finger extension plates.freee shiping to get a aep done on the fs,i swear by.by far the giggest selling gun at my dealers last year

Interesting thread. I've had my M&P 9c for a couple of years now, and like the gun OK. Really like the ergonomics/pointability, like the black stainless slide, and it's been 100% reliable. I am not a big fan of the trigger, not very good... My accuracy with the gun is OK when I really focus on it, but that trigger...

So, speaking to the theme of the thread, I had considered getting a Glock for a few years, but could never break down, and get that soul-less, block of hard-to-point plastic. Then, I got interested in the new Gen 4s, they just felt a lot better in my hand, compared to the older versions. Researched some reported isssues with the early Gen 4s, and decided to get a G19, Gen 4. Well, I really like it. Points well for me, crisp trigger (unlike all of the older Glocks I've tried...), good quality, I shoot it accurately, and it has not missed a beat. I'm shooting the heck out of some x rings with this thing...

So, at this point, I am more of a fan of this new Glock 19, than I am of my M&P 9c. Maybe it's not a fair comparison, as the M&P is a bit shorter in the grip, but not by much when using the mag with the grip extender... I understand that you can do things to improve the triggers of both brands, but out of the box, this new Glock has a much better trigger, and I like the sight picture better, too...

I have not given up on the M&P, but the Glock is more of the 'go-to' rig at this point; I shoot it better.

You're not the only one to switch to the M&P. Several of my friends have done the same.

Had my G19 and my G17 (new) at the range last week. I usually shoot 7 and 15 yds. Shot silhouettes @ 25 yds with each. Shot two targets with each gun; shot a 3.5" (G19, 5-rd group) and 4" (G17, 5-rd group) @ 25 yds.
I love Smith revolvers; I don't have a Smith semiauto, but I am interested. In the meantime, it's awfully hard to beat my Glocks.

Great responses all. Now I'm trying to figure out what my next pistol will be. The only thing I miss about the Glocks is the opportunity to shoot in the GSSF matches.

Also to anyone considering a Glock. They are great reliable guns. I have noting bad to say about them. I just felt that the M&P's fit me and my shooting style better.

My Glock left friday and 15 min later I bought a 4003. Don't miss it at all. I already had a M&P.

when compared to the M&P 40, the Glocks feel like a 2x4. Glad i passed on the 23. still have my G21 SF, and 19...but not for much longer. now i want a M&P 45C.

I traded my one and only glock today, a 23 for a 5906. When I decide to go back to polymer I will have to give the M&Ps a look.
