Other than the usual trigger whining, there hasn't been many sigma stories here lately.

Anybody got one to share, a range report maybe? Any new SD owners in the building?

The gun is just so boring reliable, not much to say anymore.

Happy shooting to all sigmaholics! :)

Last trip to the range, some friends shot my 9VE. They'd never heard of the Sigma, so they had no built in bias. They also shot my M&P 9. Both shot flawlessly, both were well liked. When I told them I was into the Sigma for $250 after rebate, they couldn't believe what a deal the pistol was.

One guy preferred the Sigma based on the stainless slide look. I told him Academy regularly had them on sale for $280 without having to mail a rebate in. So he's going to scrounge up the $$$ to get one.

That's a good point!

I didn't tell my daughter about the heavy trigger thingie until after she shot it. Her response was "what's so hard about it"? LOL!

She wouldn't trade the sigma for anything; she loves it!

Just got back from the range yesterday. Did the normal 200 rounds out of the Sigma, 150 rounds in the 66-2, and 200 rounds out of the single six. My father-in-law had his new .38 bodyguard out as well. All didn't miss a beat. It was a great day with great friends that could care less what you brought to shoot. Everyone just wants to have fun and be safe.

.357, sounds like fun as always!

How many "boring" rounds does that amazing sigma of yours have through it?

Nothing much here. I just got some Winchester White Box to try out. Been using the PMC FMJ and GoldDot Hollow Point.

NEW RED LASER SIGHT WITH ADAPTER FOR SIGMA SW9VE PISTOL - eBay (item 110667316123 end time Apr-26-11 20:06:40 PDT)

Im also eying this sight for it. Anyone have it? I didnt see it listed in the Sticky Thread.

I am very happy with my Sigma, and the hate is all people who either dont know how to aim, or are butthurt at spending twice as much for a G###k

My sigma did very well with the White Box.... No FTF FTE.. locked back every time it was empty. I guess my problems were just normal for new sigmas and it worked its way out. Still very much impressed and happy I got this gun even with the bad reviews.

From what I have read, the heavy trigger issue seems to have been fixed in the newer models. I had one years ago and I swear the trigger was nuts heavy. Now that they have fixed that issue I'm thinking of getting one again just because of the amazing grip ergonomics they have. Does anyone know of any .357 Sig barrels that drop into a Sigma 40VE?

Wow! That's an impressive round count. Don't tell any of the Sigma haters, might burst their bubbles.

Well as you probably remember, I was one of those "questioning" the Sigma trigger and after putting just over 500 rounds through mine, although still a little stiff it is very enjoyable AND reliable...."GO FIGURE"....LOL

Let them burst I say. :)

Yup, haven't had a fail yet. I've had just about every brand, make, and model ammo through it. It eats everything up.

I'm hoping to put 2,000 rounds in it this summer ( if the funds allow) and 700 of those rounds will be in matches.

A friend of mine bought a sigma 40ve recently which got me interested. I opted for the SD40 but we have been having a ball with them.

I have about 350 rds through mine with no probs. He is closing on 1000 with only one problem... the slide failed to lock back after an empty mag. I think that was somwhere around 600 rds. Has not done it again so we are suspecting the cheap ammo and not the pistol.

We are by no means expert shots but the last time out we were shooting milk jugs (gallon) at 50 yrds. It's been big fun but I think I need a second job to keep me in ammo.

I just used my 9VE in a USPSA match this last saturday at my local range. Not a single problem with it. Once I slowed down and prestaged the trigger I was popping plates and targets like it was nothing.

SW9VE

Besides my new XD 9 Springfield Armory Compact purchase, all is good here. :D Pick it up next week. ;)

I have around 2000 rounds through my SW9VE. All is good! Still a rliable and FUN handgun.

Those of us who have, love and use this wonderful weapon seldom explain it so people can understand. The trigger works EXACTLY as it is designed, so it does not need "fixing". Making the trigger pull so it is not so heavy defeats the built in safety design. I actually feel safer carrying my SW40VE than my Ruger SR9c. Don't get me wrong because I love both guns. The Ruger is more concealable and it is my EDC. The Sigma trigger is like a staple gun. That's how they made it and that is how it works.

The laser is sure cheap enough. I have found you usually get what you pay for. The Sigma proved that wrong. TDR911 who is a board member here makes a really first class one that is inexpensive. I would check them out.

thanks for the advice. I think ill get the TDR when I get the chance.... Also if anyone can help me with this...

Whenever I put a magazine in with the slide locked back, it goes in like butter....but when its not, it isnt as smooth to get the mag in, and sometimes doesnt go in and back to tap it hard on the bottom. Ive tried slow and fast and dont get the same results putting the mag in with the slide locked back. Im going for 1000 rounds this month... 700 to go.
