NHL STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS 2011

Eventually I think this could turn into a blood bath, hope not.:(
That's why I really think the league should have done even a little something for the finger bite. The players may deal with it on the ice and it could get nasty. I love a good physical hockey game but I hate a nasty one.

If it will help lure Strato to root for the Canucks, I will grill him up a nice thick porterhouse and a twice baked potato with bacon and chedder cheese. I would even serve him a Canadian brewed Molson.

The heck with Strato, I'll take the meal instead, and I'll bring my own drink.:D But I am not rooting for the Canucks under any circumstances.

Come on over, I'll fire up the grill. You can even bring Strato.:D We will convince him that the only real team to root for is the Bruins. He will forget all about his TBL and become a Timmy fan.

Whatever happened to our gloating friend from Vancouver? Did we chase him off by not falling into his trap about the officals? Maybe he saw that the Canucks played the best hockey they can muster and the Bruins can still elevate thier game. That is really how I saw game one. I think Vancouver put everything they had into that game.

GO BRUINS.

What goes good on the West Coast here is a 1" thick Alberta Cowboy Steak, and plenty of ice cold Kokanee Beer. You serve'm up that, and he'll be a Canuck fan for certain.

Here's my wife root'n for the Bruins and me for the Canucks. She usually bets with her brothers and gives them first option. What's got me worried is, she usually wins.

I hope we didn't chase him away, I think he got a little nervous when the 2nd period ended and the score was 0-0 instead of 5-0. After the game I looked at the penalties given out Boston was penalized 7 times and Vancouver 6 times, so like I said I don't get it. It is almost like saying, we hit the pipe 3 times, great but it isn't a goal unless in goes past that little line.? Every one has there own approach concerning the game, the Bruins lose because the other team beat them, that's my thinking.

I think I had me one of those Kokanee's when I was up at Banff. It really was a good beer. That steak sounds darn good too but I'll stick with the Bruins.

I sure hope your wife is right this time too. Sounds like a smart women.:D

The officials needed to get control of that one early. I hope the players don't let anything carry over and let the rest of the series get out of hand, although I sure did like what I saw in both the Bruins power play and penelty kill. I would rather see them play 5 on 5 though. I think that's where they can beat the Canucks.

It will absolutely blow their minds if the Bruins pull off a win tonight.

GO BRUINS for me a loyal fan for over 50 years:D

How about that, you'll be joining the half century club. I've been a member for 15 years, so I have seniority over you.:D
My Birthday falls right between game 6 and game 7.:D In my vision Timmy said he knew it was my birthday and had a gift for me.;)

Lord Stanley's Cup

It matters not to me If I get to use Thomas' first name.
Both of the goalies are too good to be in a blow out. The blueliners would have to stay on the bench for that to happen. I'm still trying to figure the he stuck his finger in my mouth what was I supposed to do? Cheap shots and after the whistle messing around does nothing positive for the game. I'd like to see game misconduct penalties handed out for that stuff.
Anyway I'm waiting for game two and I'll be having Cedar Key clams, fresh shoepeg corn and Southernmost Wheat beers from Key West Brewers.

Good for you, you get to watch the game tonight.
Don't let Strato see that menu, he sniff his way to your house for sure.
I agree with you on the game misconduct, even if it was a Bruin. You have to call penalties, high stick you can remove someone's eye, cross checking, boarding all of them must be applied to both teams. Mike honestly, I really enjoyed the series with your Bolts, class act 100%. Game 7 with the Bolts, couldn't have been better. Maybe next year for you guys, I really hope, that's how much the boys from Florida impressed me.

You guys are surely making me hungry. Fortunately I have a nice filet mignon, some East Lake Toho bass, coleslaw and some home made tater salad. I think I'll stay right here :D

Now since every team I've rooted for this post season has lost I may need to rethink my strategy

Wild horses couldn't keep me from watching tonight's game.
I have seen some great hockey games this year.It has really been quite a season.
Personally I'm torn. Vancouver has been in the NHL since 1970 and IIRC this is their third time to the big dance. I'd like to see them do well. But it has been since '72 for the Bruins. Way back to the Espo/Orr days. That was some team back then!
I don't think we'll be seeing dynasties like that again. Oilers, Islanders, Flyers and all the other old teams from before Free Agency, oh well no profit in living in the past.

Your eating pretty good down there, up here I'm having a nice Bologna and cheese sandwich, small can of beans and some stale bread and a glass of muscatel.

Later I'm going to have a cup of Tea, waiting for the tea bag to dry, have it hung up on the back porch, should be ready in about 2 more hours, and I was able to pick up some 2 day old muffins yesterday, you have to spray them down with water and put them in the sun. So I'm all set for tonight's game.

Hmm you could crumble the muffins, mix them with an egg and use that to batter the bologna. Drop it in the deep fryer and you got a generic chicken fried steak :D

Sounds pretty good, I really won't have to crumble the muffins, they sort of fall apart once they are dry by just touching them. No problem with the eggs, they are always fresh as i have about 6 pigeons nesting on the back porch. There use to about 20, but a man must eat.:D

I'm gonna grill up some bratwerst and have some chips and wash them down with some Sam Adams. I want a real simple dinner so I don't miss any of the game. You guys will probably have your dinner before the game but it starts at 5 for us west coasters. I will probably fire up the grill during the first period and time it so the eats are ready before the puck drops in the 2nd period.

Just over 3 hours now.:D

GO BRUINS.
