NHL STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS 2016

Congrats to the Pens on winning the Cup! :) out of the playoffs early in the season, bring in Mike Sullivan as head coach and become the hottest team in the league for the last 20+ games.

A hearty well done to the Sharks for a great season, just came up short against a superior team. :)

Labworm, thanks again. Lord willing, I'll be back again...rooting for the Blues. I'm no Bruins fan, but you deserve a dog in the hunt next year...so...go Bruins.

Congratulations to the Pens contingent. Drink from the Cup the sweet nectar of victory...just make sure it's clean. You never know what the Blackhawks did with it.

I close with one more goodbye. So long, Mr. Hockey. I'm sure he already has a goal, an assist, and a fight in the hereafter.

We were driving in Red Rocks Park, Colorado Springs.
We see probably several hundred people standing in a parking lot.
They all seemed to be looking down at something.
We get closer. We see a large silver trophy sitting on the ground in the parking lot.
That was the year Denver won it and they were showing off the cup around CO.

I asked my wife if it was a slice of toast with jelly. It did not look like anything that I would call pizza.

I have to say, this was one fo the best post seasons that I have watched. Not because my team won, but because there really was no "goonery." Every team played honest physical hockey without any headhunting. Every game was a nail biter. There seemed to be a lot of respect to the opposition to the other team by every team. So thanks Rangers, Caps, Lightning, and Sharks for one heck of a cup run. And thanks to those fans for a respectful thread that I did not get to participate in nearly as much as i would have liked.

Having said that...THE PENS WON THE CUP!

I don't think I'm going to sleep much tonight after that one.
 
Since pizza has been mentioned. I tend to like Hawaiian pizza...like a lot...So one night last week, my wife asked me if i wanted to try it in a different way. I'm up for that so

She grilled some hot dogs, toasted the buns, slapped the pizza sauce on them with the Pineapple. I was looking up the phone numbers of mental health facilities, but much like a fried egg on a hamburger, this was a winner.

I started the day before the the first game against the rangers. I had it off by the time that Bettman handed Sid the cup.

I told my wife I was going to leave it on until their run to next years cup ended. She said she was not going to with hold something until it was off. They hold all of the power...lol

It is really an amazing story for the Pens this year. Absolutely stunning turnaround from mid season. Congratulations again to the team and the fans. Enjoy the Wednesday rally & celebrations!
