I have many S&W revolvers in both shooter grade and collector grade and I always wondered what's your favorite shooter grade revolver and I'll allow two for the guys that also have to include a 22LR revolver.

For me it's funny because it's not shot the most but it's a 25-2 with 6 inch barrel in 45 ACP with moon clips and my second is a Model 17-4 P&R 22LR with 8 " 3/8 barrel that thinks it's a rifle.

Well, I have two...and neither is a 22lr

My grandfather's 28 with a 6" barrel is a joy to shoot and it is super accurate....I don't take it out too often, but I really like shooting it when I do.

My favorite is my blued 58....it rides around with me just about everywhere....the action is glassy and because I reload for it, I can go mild or wild. It has to be one of my all time favorite shootin irons.

I have to say it is my 686 no dash. Out of all of my revolvers, this 686 has the best balance and handling. For some reason my accuracy improves significantly when shooting this particular gun. And I need ALL the help I can get!

Plus it is the best looking revolver that Smith & Wesson ever made!! :p :D

I'd have to say this 29-2 is my favorite.I found it a few years back and wasn't even looking for one.It locks up tight and is very accurate.Keep the loads in the moderate range. It is a shooter for sure but it really cleans up well and shows no signs of abuse.Don't own a Smith .22 (yet).

It was...

My 681 was it until I picked up a model 10-6 in 357 magnum and it is shooting dead on and tighter! The wider, smooth combat trigger is so nice and the hammer is wider. She isn't pretty but you can drive nails with it!

Here's mine.......

My 625-6 .45 Colt mtn. gun gets the nod in my part of the sticks. I can shoot loafer-loads or nasty critter-gitters out of it. I enjoy the maintenance of my guns, but the stainless requires less of it and still looks great.

My favorite shooters would be a model 14-2 and one of my K Frame .22s. If I had to pick one of the K-22s, it would be a hard choice.
As to why. I like all sizes of Smiths, but the K Frames are my favorites.
Slick revolvers and more accurate than I ever was with a handgun. Cheap enough in .38 and .22 to shoot all day. And they are just plain fun to shoot.

Mine would have to be my K22 five-screw with Tyler-T, because the action is just so glassy-smooth, even though (in my unpracticed hands) my 617 seems to be more accurate. Second fave has got to be the 25-2, as well. Mine has the 6 1/2-inch barrel. I love the heft, balance, and sheer beauty of that revolver.

my favorite...............S&W model 64-5 NY-1.........well balanced, accurate and dependable.

My S&W 24-3 & 624 in 44 spl. Fun, accurate...

It has to be this beater M19-4...

...because mechanically it is perfect, must not have been fired much at all, and I'll never worry about damaging the finish.:)
