I was just watching Lindsey Buckinham and "The Small Machine" on Palladia. Am I the only fan here or do some you guys "get" him too. I don't figure Burg is gonna jump in here, but you never know?

Part of maybe the most talented group of the 70's, sure can play that guitar. And those two women were a bit nice looking also.

He's not on my list of favorite guitarists but the guy is totally original. It's like he learned to play the guitar in a vacuum where he's never heard a guitar before because he doesn't sound influenced by anybody.
and he got to,uh, play with Stevie Nicks in the 70's. I like his playing and vocals on World turning best.

I don't believe I know that guy and his machine.

Lyndsey Buckingham & Stevie Nicks joined Fleetwood Mac in '74. Before that they were Buckingham Nicks and put out one of the most delectable album covers EVAHR! :D I'd probly get my knuckles rapped for posting it. Google is your friend. ;)

Lyndsey Buckingham knows his way around a fretboard...

As for Big Mac, I always preferred Christine Perfect's vocals myself.

Thanks for the reminder. I had quite forgotten. Life was sooo cool back then.

Meanwhile, 40 years have passed ...

Fleetwood Mac was one of the greatest groups of all time. I have all their albums (big plastic discs that spin around;)) Including Bare Trees.

They all had some "interesting relationships";)

Stevie Nicks singing Landslide. Best I ever heard was on Soundstage I believe. Just her at the piano with candles not sure if these links are it, thought it was much earlier??

Since their beginning, I have been a huge fan and probably have most of their albums (Now CD's), attended concerts etc.

They grew up and toured with "The Dance" which I think is the best DVD they ever produced. Class big time.

"Silver Springs", Shows how Buckingham could get the best out of Nicks.

Well put, He doesn't play like anyone else. I'm always amazed when I watch him.

Saw them back in the day on their "Rumours" tour, still one of my favorite memories, and one of my favorite bands!

I was 13 when Rumours came out. I quickly became a devoted fan. Have always loved Fleetwood Mac, but I hadn't really loved Buckingham's solo work. I've really started to appreciate his genius and his intensity. That's a pretty good band he's got put together. His drummer Reyes is a man possessed.

Hands down the best concert I have gone to in the last decade or so was Fleetwood Mac a few years ago. It had Stevies Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham together. Even ole' Mick on his percussion vest was impressive.

I saw them at a Day On The Green at the Oakland coliseum around 1978. They opened for Peter Frampton who was peaking then. The stage had castle turrets on each side and during Frampton Stevie Nicks and the McVie chick hung out one of the turret windows watching the show and waving at eveyone. It was a great summer day drinking snuck in tequila and partying with thousands of people including scores of cute girls with long hair parted in the middle.

Those were the days my friend, we thought they'd never end.

Cool, I will have to check out his solo stuff. Thanks for posting. :)
