Glock Glock Glock

Brucey that was a nice try but it won't matter. I have come to the conclusion we are dealing with feelings, emotions and hormones here. Fun to read, I keep coming back.

I don't know what all this fuss is about clocks. Who cares what kind of clock I have as long as it tells time. I think my clock choice should not be subject to public debate. As far as I know, ...............oh,..........................never mind.

...Those who learn the Glock are not hindered by prior experience with other designs. The dominance of the Glock helps make that a reality. Competitive designs must play catch-up.

Uh, Bruce, are you sure "learn" is the word you are looking for there... ? I was thinking maybe "embrace"... ? :D

Just kidding. I am glad we all have the freedom to have our opinions and to make our choices, though, when it comes to Glocks, I am "just as glad" that now there is a competitive product that is made in the U.S.A. That's important to me.

But I have no real problem with Glocks. Have one myself. It seems well-made and reliable - but I can't remember the last time I fired it. There is just nothing there that gives me any reason to want to take it along when I head off to the range. I think of Glocks being rather like the shovels of the handgun world: good enough for the purpose intended, but not much to crow about otherwise. :)

I don't disagree at all. Much of the debate is not due to significant relevant differences but rather in justifying choices rooted in personal preferences.

You are correct. I was struggling with a coffee deficit. Happily that deficit has now been corrected to a surplus.

I have no problem most manufacturers, I own several brands though no Glock yet... All the specific firearms forums always slam one another it makes great table talk and I enjoy reading them get to hear pros an cons of those who have actually owned one model or another. Got to say Im in the market for .40 and 10rds min compact was at lgs today trying all comparable models, m&p 40c, Glock 23 gen4, Springfield the Glock fit me the best. I love my M&P 9 fits me great but some reason the c doesn't fit me as well with mag extension an it feels little slick in the hand set of talon grips would fix that though.

I agree with the quality issues w/Glock. When I got this one home, it had holes in the slide AND the barrel!  :(

I tried a Glock once, found that it didn't point well for me. As a result I don't own any Glocks and have no interest at all in the brand.

One thing that is a bit odd is that all of my handguns are made by manufacturers that begin with an S. As in Smith & Wesson, Sig Sauer, and Springfield Armory.

I've had two 23's two 27's, and a 19. All have been reliable, and I carried them for years. Why don't I have them now? No emotional attachment, so they become trading stock when I find something I love, like a Highway Patrolman, a 27-2 5", a .40 Hipower, a nice 20 gauge Beretta, etc., etc. One can get a Glock any day of the week, but nice guns only come along occasionally and you gotta move on them when you can.

Employee discounts?:D:D:D

No sir, USPS employees are not given discounts, though I have asked a Glock, Inc. VP to consider it. I have bought eight (seven used, one new) from a local LE supply store and the ninth was a swap with a forum member out of Florida, but the transfer came through the same shop, LOL!!
