Thinking of getting a 637 for home defence and CC. Would like to get some opinion's about them, both good and bad...........
637's are solid little guns. you will like it. The gray colored clear coat on the frame will
eventually come off but after that is over with every
thing will be fine.
my wife and I have two of them.
Is there a way to get the rest of the clear coat off, after it starts to wear?
Why stay away from a 638, what's wrong w/it?
I'd recommend the Pro series model 60. You get a 3 inch barrel, front night sight, adjustable rear sight, wooden grips and .357 magnum capability. It's SA/DA and can be upgraded with Crimson Trace laser grips. And it's a J-frame. It's a lot of gun for only about $100 more.I plan on using it for a nightstand gun and some range shooting. I like the small size and light weight of the J-frame's. The one that I am looking at has the Crimson Trace grip's which feel very good in the hand. I also like the ability to shoot SA/DA.............

Go back and reread the posts then check the Smith and Wesson web sight. 637 CT $669 MSRP, Pro Series Model 60 $779 MSRP. OK it's $110 more. The Pro Series Model 60 looks terrific, but where do you find it for only $100 more? The MSRP is $330 more ($779 vs $449).
