So I'm man enough to admit to it, Ive tried the on-line dating. Now I know some of you are saying, " 26 is a nice enough guy, but anyone that thinks a 1940 is a new car, can't be the sharpest knife in the draw ".

So I'm chatting with this woman who imeadiately catches my eye, very thin and a great big beautiful smile. So there is some real nice Chemistry from a outward appearance standpoint, lets see what's in her heart I say to myself.
After chatting a few times, here is what I have come up with.

1: 40 years old, and she admitting to having all false teethe.
2: Very thin, yet does not now or ever works out or goes to a gym.
3: Was in a very abusive last relationship, but not to worry, he will not be coming around anymore.
4: Living with daughter and son-in-law, why, because her house burned to the ground.
5: Lives in the rural Mid-West.
6: Offers me her phone number BUT- only for texting as she claims she is not comfortable talking to anyone on the telephone.

To sat the least, I quickly deleted my account.

So I ask you folks, especially those in L.E., do you think there was a problem past here and it rhymes with " Beth " ?

Does "Beth" rhyme with on-line scam-artists looking to rip off unsuspecting men?

No Barb, think of a 4 letter word that begins with the letter M, and ends with the letter H, and the two center remaining letters should " phone home ".

By the way folks and friends of the forum, this is not a joke or my attempt at humour. This really just happened and I'll admit shook me right up. Shook me up real good now.

Never tried the on line bit. There is a local radio on line dateing commercial here that cracks me up. They keep comeing up with bad pickup lines like "I am going outside to make out, care to join me?
I want to get to know you. A guy can only learn so much with binnoculars!
My friends call me tony, but you can call me tonight!
Do you want me to call you tomorrow morning or nudge you?
The voice sounds just like arnold schwartzenegger.

Thanks thunder, yes and I'm waiting for some Law Enforcement fellows to chime in, but I don't think this situation needs someone with a Degree in Criminal Justice. What a terrible shame, she was a very attractive woman too.

Has to be one of the scariest things I have ever done fm, and I worked deep in Miami for almost 20 years:eek:.

I know there are some very nice looking single women and some are looking for a man for varias types of relationships from friendship to marriage.

The situation you describe would have set off alarm bells in my mind also.

I'll admit to doing an online profile. Most of the opposite gender that fit my search profile were interested is someone whose income was "75,000 and above". Sorry, I can't make up for the child support you aren't getting, or paying for the house you overbought with your ex-spouse, or taking you to Cabo every year. They're looking for champagne, caviar and a Range Rover; I'm root beer, Ritz crackers and an Oldsmobile. Caviar? You mean fish eggs? My Grandpa had a different word for fish eggs... "Bait".

I can probably guess what most of them would think about having a gun in the house. Let alone a dozen or three, 'cause if I made 75K a year I'd sure have more S&W's than I do now.

I tried the online thing about 10 years ago. Never had contact with so many liars and freaks in my life. By the way, complete and total honesty will turn most women away in about ten seconds......:( I guess they are not used to that. I'm very direct and open, not to the point of rudeness, I just don't want to play games. Aside from the religious aspect, I see no advantage in todays' marriage. Seems like a license to make others miserable. Sorry for my dim view of it, but it is as I've seen. It can be great. My grandfather died 10 days before his 62nd wedding anniversary. Today, almost everyone looks at almost everything with a "NOW" attitude and a "throw it away" attitude. I want no part of todays' attitude in a relationship.

Buddy of mine was drooling over a 40-year old he found online at a free dating site.

Supposed to be a widowed teacher, but only lists a high school education. Hmm, I thought our county deep-sixed all the non-honours degree teachers a few years ago. I seem to remember the row. Maybe I'm wrong.

Then it hit me. The lady described herself as having black hair but the girl in the picture was a blonde. Now it may be that when the picture was taken she was a bottle-blonde, but the whole deal just set the alarms ringing for me. My buddy did not take the news well as he was in love with that picture. Poor guy. :p

Public info on crystal methenamine,

How is it used?
Crystal Meth is usually smoked, but is sometimes snorted or injected. The drug is abused because of its euphoric effects.

What are its short-term effects?

The drug's effects are similar to those of cocaine but longer lasting. Crystal Meth can cause erratic, violent behavior among its users. Effects include suppressed appetite, interference with sleeping behavior, mood swings and unpredictability, tremors and convulsions, increased blood pressure, irregular heart rate. Users may also experience homicidal or suicidal thoughts, prolonged anxiety, paranoia and insomnia. Crystal meth use by pregnant women can lead to premature birth or birth defects, including heart defects and cleft palate.

What are its long-term effects?

Long-term effects of Crystal Meth use can include brain damage (similar to the effects of Parkinson's disease or Alzheimer's disease), coma, stroke or death. Chronic users may also develop distinct physical symptoms, as demonstrated by before and after pictures in the Faces of Meth™ program. Signs of chronic use include weight loss, tooth decay and cracked teeth ("Meth Mouth"), psychosis and hallucinations, sores on the body from picking at skin, and formication (an abnormal skin sensation akin to "bugs crawling on skin").

I do the on-line dating quite often. And, I meet my dates right here in this Forum, or other similar ones.

I met Chuck here and had several enjoyable dates. And, just last Friday, Pat and I met for a date. He was great.:eek::eek:

I meet my dates at the Silver Dollar and we shoot a little trap. Good time for all, and no lasting, messy relationships. Unless, of course, one of my "dates" get the addiction to shoot those little orangy things flying away at 42MPH.

It's the only dating my wife will allow me to do. ;)

I have a friend who was literally "taken to the cleaners" by his Russian mail order bride. Sad.
I was a bachelor till age 36 and am glad as all heck to be married now.
