Hope everyone is set on magazines

Well was thinking about getting a few more off 44Mag
BUT NOT NOW:mad: Talk about ripping poeple off yesterday 12-19-12 they were $18.99 NOW today there $22.99:eek: Talk about price gouging!!! I wont be buying from them anytime soon!!!!

Supply and demand, supply and demand.

I guess you won't be buying from anyone, then, because everyone else is out. It's like ammo - what's the better deal - NO magazines at $18.99 or all you want at $22.99?

I'm a Sig guy when it comes to semi auto's and after the first election of our current pres I loaded up on 9mm and 40 S&W hi cap mags for my two Sig P226's. That said today I went up and ordered two 15 round mags for my Sig P228 because I could and I don't know what's lays ahead for us.

Thank you for reminding me!! I need a couple 228 mags. Where'd you order from?

The FDE's are $21.99. I'd still buy, if I hadn't already ordered mine from them when they were $18.99. Must've changed right after I ordered. ;)

I was in Bud's Gunshop this am and stood in line over 2 hours for my turn to be waited on in order to pick up a Model 66 I purchased from a fellow member. You actually had to take a number at the door and mine happened to be 150 something from the current one being seen. I saw more multiple purchases of AR-15s and other similar type rifles along with mags than I've ever seen before. The salesman said it's been that way everyday from open to close for the last few weeks.

My local Herb Philipson's has sold over 50 AR's and AR type guns since the shooting. They are nearly out of them...same for ammo and mags.
Whew...gun shops are digging this right now...hope the future is not bleak.

It will settle down. I just hope everyone remembers what companies did what during this when you purchase in the future. Everyone needs to make a buck but some of the things going on are just ridiculous.

This is being repeated all over the country. I haven't given the first thought to go to Cabela's or my LGS this week. My LGS is the largest gun dealer in New England. I bet there is a line out the door as the normally sell a couple of hundred (or more) guns a week.

Im pretty new to the 15-22 but the mags appear to be pretty sturdy. I cant imagine wearing one out ?
Are they more fragile then they seem to be?

You might want to think about sending a check to the NRA-ILA, the second amendment foundation, GOA or any other gun rights group that you like. This can and will help our cause much more than panic buying.

I agree. Spend it where it will do some good. The NRA is gaining 8000 members a day. It should be higher.

Panic buying... Oh no,the sky is falling :o

Yeah, I was a member about 18 years ago. I let it run out and didn't renew. I added my name back to the membership yesterday. :)

Magazine craziness....!

My buddy and two of his friends searched all day yesterday for AR-15 magazines until they literally worked themselves into a frenzy.

They finally scored and were able to get 12 magazines each.

It was only last night that my buddy realized that he doesn't even own an AR 15.....his wife thinks he just got caught up in the moment. She won't let him go out of the house anymore.

The Second Ammendment was NEVER about what type of arms citizens might own or about what the technological developments of the future might bring. It was not about hunting. It was not about home defense. It was not about target shooting. It was about the ability of citizens to oppose and resist the oppression of a tyrannical government.

You are preaching to the choir. :)

Well......if you wanted/needed 25 round magazines, I think you are out of luck. I saw them on the internet this morning before work, but now everywhere that I check seem to be sold out. Oh well.

Sometimes you eat the bear, sometimes the bear eats you.

I managed to score the following while on my mid to 8 job shift yesterday:
44mag.com: 5 Magpul 30 Rd AR Pmags (only 9 left at the time)
Sportsman's Guide: 2 26-39 Rd Thermold expandable AR mags
CDNN: 3 30 round AR repair kits, 3 20 RD Para mags for my Bul M-5 double stack 1911.
CTD: Burris MTAC 1-4x24 (needed better scope for my 3-gun AR).

3-gun will still happen regardless of what the media does. In my area:
Peacemaker will still have monthly FN 3-gun regional matches.
Summit Point will still have USPSA 3-gun every other month.
York IWLA will still have their unique 3-man/3-gun matches thru the year.
May not be as much money in the FN Pro series/ 3-Gun Nation but I'm sure the Outdoor Channel will have no problem snapping up 3-Gun Nation.

Target Sports USA still had S&W M&P 15-22 25 round magazines as of this morning. I went through two pages of Google search before I found a dealer that was not out of stock... like everybody says, it's panic buying... or maybe just common sense. Only the future will have the answer for us...
