The important thing is that you get what you want, what you like and what fits your needs and budget. I don't know how long you have been around this game, but the sigma was born under a dark cloud and will always get bashed, even though the user reviews have been quite good in the last few years, since the VE model mostly. The SD will shake "some" of that bad rep, but it will never go away completely.

The XD45 is a great gun and will give you status that the sigma won't, if you want it, go for it! Eats those expensive fat bullets too! LOL!

Get the gun that you like. My testimony of the sigma is based on the good luck I had with it.

I could be wrong here but I believe what he's say is similar to walking out on a golf course with a set of "knock off" clubs compared to that of a set of Ping's.

Basically, the "sigma" has a bad reputation for having a bad trigger, failure to feed and/or fire and so on.

The new SD9VE is the exact same gun as the old "SD 9 / SD 40" minus the slide color and sights (Although the slides look identical). Literally everything else is the same from the guts to the trigger and the reliability.

Also, the new SD VE model is not a sigma in anyway. It's not an "upgrade" to the sigma but simply a minor change to the old "SD" line.

Some people will say a SD caliber has to have a 4 in it. As far as the 45 its self it is more pricy to shoot and has a fair bit more recoil then the 9mm. Personally I enjoy shooting higher caliber. I love shooting my 357magnum that has far more recoil then a 45.

Thats kinda what I figured. I have a Sarsilmaz Kama 9mm now, and I like it but I just feel like Im due for an upgrade. I might just hold out for an XD 9mm.

Betting he is selling due to the *bad press* Sigma gets. Not going to get into it with anybody though. Perhaps, I was lucky with mine at 1860 rounds and nothing, nada, no issues.
