I have a couple of them. Wouldn't be my first or second choice for self defense but they would beat a sharp stick in the eye. I'm partial to CZ's 50 and 83 in that caliber.

My Colt 1903 Pocket Model .32 always draws a crowd when I take it to the range. Well anytime I fire a 100+ year old gun at the range it will draw a crowd.

I collect the WWII nazi and Axis pistols in 7.65. I've shot a lot of them and although not my first choice, with modern JHP ammo, it would be a deterent.

I would not mind seeing pics of these guns.
Keith.

Colt 1903 Pocket Model. This one is rough, but still functional. It was given to me, but I had to find a magazine for it. Cost of a used Colt magazine was $15 at a gun show. S/N 139XX, which I believe dates to 1904 or 1905.

I sometimes carry either a North America arms .32 or a walther ppks .32acp,as others gave stated not a first choice but not to be underestimated. Both have proven reliable enough to gain my confidence, and I am able to stay on target at reasonable distances.

I love it.

I own all sorts of .32acp/7,65mm pistols. Poo-pooed by lots of folks in the US...I however have always thought it a pretty decent caliber..I mean really! John Browning designed it and they still make and sell guns and ammo 114 years later...can't be too bad.

The only small small .32 I have is a fairly new Beretta Tomcat. I can say all sorts of things about the Tomcat...mostly all good!

They do have a reputation for cracking the frame in a certain thin spot with use of too hot of ammo(use ball ammo or read manual for proper ammo). Typical of small Beretta design pistols the Tomcat lacks an extractor..so you have to rethink any applicable malfunction drills. Has some sharp edges on the bottom of the trigger. Not a big fan of the push-button mag release in the grip(would prefer a heel-release). It ain't cheap.

Things I like is it's small enough to conceal easy..yet handles and shoots like a much bigger pistol...has real useable sights(and is accurate!)...real useable safety...a hammer...the flip-up barrel is nice. It's a fun little pistol.

The .32 auto I really like best is my West German police trade in Walther PP....now you got a nice fairly compact pistol that is a exceptional shooter...PP is a great pistol!

I like .32s - my wife carries this one:

One of my buddies has a Colt 1903 in 32ACP. It's a nice gun to shoot: even with the tiny sights, it's very accurate. And recoil is nearly nonexistent, in this larger sized pistol.

I could see where this, or a pistol similar to it would be very good for someone who is very recoil sensitive, such as someone with arthritis in their hand(s).

As others have said, it wouldn't be my first choice, but at reasonable self defense range, it's WAY better than no firearm at all.

I carried a Beretta Tomcat as a back up for a while with Cor Bon rounds. Replaced it with a Colt Mustang in .380 ACP. Same size, bigger hole.

I have been carrying a Kel Tec P32 for 12 years. While I do use others, .380, .38 and lately .45/.410 for carry, the .32 has by far seen the most use. I am trying to wean myself off it though. While driving thru along a farm field with a freind we saw a groundhog walking about 30' away. I gave the gun to my freind and he clearly hit it twice (60gr./fmj) and it just kept on walking. It stopped for a second after each hit and kind of shook itself off, but then just kept on walking another 200yds. until out of sight. Really opened my eyes and casued me to consider starting to carry more gun. This was about a 30# groundhog.

Found one of these for 199.99 this past weekend at a local shop. Didn't buy it; kinda kickin myself now for not doing it. Are these things as easy to carry as the Guardian pistols, and reckon I should go back Saturday, and see if it's still there?
