Wally world shelves are bare

Last night after Bible study, there's a Wally world near by. I had a apple sauce craving. I rush to the sporting goods section & the clerk was stocking. He put 12 boxes of Federal 550 bulk ammo pack for 22LR. With the new rule I took the 3 boxes limit.
My wife was like, you didn't come over to get apple sauce you came for ammo. I did get my jar of apple sauce. So I didn't lie. LOL

Haha, that's great! I did the same thing for a frozen lasagna.

Check the walmart.com website and search store availability. While it may say in stock it may by arriving on a truck that day or being stocked in the evening. Ive been using this system lately and ive been doing well. You might not always catch it but tonight i stopped at 3 stores after 830pm and each store had someone stocking ammo.

And depending on who is working the counter they may not know or care about the limit. That being said i picked up 6 bulk packs of CCI ARtactical at the 3rd store and i could have bought as much .223 or anything else for that matter but i thought id let the next guys have cracks at it.

So use that website to your advantage....its been paying off for me

im using it too, but it goes fast..i checked Thursday night saw they had some at the local walmart, i was stoked to say the least, go in there about 8am friday morning and it was all out, i asked the lady she ssaid it was cleaned out with in an hr or less. had 10 boxes of Winchester 555 and 10 boxes of Fed. bulk and some CCi and Remington gold bullets. but i am noticing the stores are getting their stocks more frequent and a lot more at a time.

This is good info, and as a result of this post, I scored 3 boxes of Federal .22 ammo. One of my local Walmarts got a truck in last evening so there was ammo on the shelves when I went this morning. Quite a bit of pistol ammo, no .223, but some .22 which I was happy to see.

Guess the trick is to go late in the evening or in the morning.

My Walmart had the 550 boxes.. I got three and my wife got three!! Always good to have her support!

Awesome! Glad to hear it worked for you. Maybe we have cracked the Walmart ammo code!!!! Now just to keep it semi quiet so there aren't any heavier evening stampedes :D

Here's what I'm thinking is going on...they stock in the evening after the truck arrives and when there is an associate because like one of the workers told me they cant wheel it out like the rest of the pallets to sit there and get to it at some point during overnights...it has to be locked up in the case right on the spot. That might not be 100% the case but makes sense to me anyways.

The other stores bps/cabelas etc only stock in the early morning before the store opens (used to work there while in school)

Scored ammo at 1:30am this morning and again at 7:30 am this morning at Walmart. 3 boxes of Federal 550's and 4 boxes of Winchester 555's followed me home!! Paid $21.77 ea for the Federal and $23.17 ea for the Winchester.:D

Interesting you got it at 1:30 and at 7:30 in the morning...all the ones around here will only sell ammo 8AM-10PM. The counter is closed other than those hours...and of course all the ammo except shotshells is locked up.
When I got several thousand rounds recently I had to wait 45 minutes for the counter guy to show up at 8...sat on a stool right in front of the case the whole time, nobody was going to beat me to it:D

The case was closed and locked up and no one was in sight, so I went and found someone. They just opened up the case and asked me what I wanted. The register is closed back there so they will escort you to the front register to pay for it.

I got 2 Winchester 555 and one 1000 m22 Winchester at my local wal mart today

Friday, I was early picking up my kids at Walmart over at Sun City, Fl. I had already been at 5 other W. that week. No Ammo. I decided to go and check what the hell I had time.

I get there and they are loading ammo from from a secure cart. Three guys in front of me. 3 boxes of 45, 1 of 9mm and a case of federal 22lr.

I am thinking I am buying the whole case. First guy buy all 3 boxes of 45. The second guy buys the 9mm. Right before I ask for my boxes the clerk put up a sign that limit 3 boxes of ammo per purchase.

I was pissed. I bought three and asked my ex-wife to go and buy another three that was it.

A couple of towns over Walmart had a grand opening. I decided not to attend the opening ceremony, knowing that the shelves on opening day would be filled with ammo. Several days later when we were in the store I asked the clerk at the gun counter how was the madness? He smiled and said the line was long and after the first costumer purchased many bricks, they decided to limit sales to 2 per person to give as many people a chance. The clerk said that he has no idea when they will receive product back into the store. He said the best thing to do is call. I checked on-line and within a 50 mile area all Walmart stores show no 22LR ammo available. I do not regret attending the madness.

Saturday nite i checked online locally and found 1 wally world having 22lr in stock, called=they had a shipment of ten boxes but wouldnt be putting it out (if they indeed had it) till the next morning, they advised to call in the am. I show at 6am Sunday, I'm the 2nd guy in the store and see 3 different guys walking out with ammo cans....evidently there was a shipment of 40 cal in the can on special. i picked up 3 (limit) of the 555 which left 2 boxes on the shelf. i think the employees are clean sweeping what little is being shipped before we get a shot at it.
Timing may be in your own interest

Found federal bulk 100 packs the other day of 9mm. 3 box limits I'm well stocked on 9 but I picked up 2 anyways. Seems like stock is returning slowly.

Ive scored 2 more times since my last post using the walmart website availability and going around 9pm or so. Moght have to wait just a little while but I dont mind waiting while they wheel out pallets to stock the store. They bring it out along with the rest of their overnight stockings in the other departments.

6 more bulk boxes of federal bulk .22lr. Ive watched when they had the lower quality bulk and passed on it a couple times that I was there. Really seems like its coming in alot more often.

Good news. I just found CCI AR Tactical .22LR at W'Mart here. And it was at the pre-panic price. The manufacturers seem to be catching up a little after the normal Holiday shortage and panicky paranoid buyouts.

My local Walmart was bare for a month now, and yesterday I got 300 rounds of CCI Minimags (the last boxes), but they had more Minimags and Federal Automatch in store before I got there.

Local WM's are getting ammo in but in New Mexico it is actually illegal for stores to limit sales. One by my house got a ton in this morning and two guys bought it all up before I could get there. Approx. $2k worth of ammo of .22lr, .223, 5.56, 9mm, etc. all gone in 5min.

Glad to hear some of you are having success in finding ammo using the website.

It doesnt seem to be making its way into the KC area.

I've been checking on a daily basis and nothing.

I have 20+ Walmarts in my area and the well has been dry.

Once or twice I've found an instant were the web site list ammo as in stock only to find bare shelves. The site isn't updated on a regular basis so the info isn't always accurate.
