Picked up two M&P Shield 9mms today

Just picked them up for $499. Great gun. One for me. One for my wife. We both love them. Looking forward to heading to the range. Thank you Ray's in Dallas. Got in 60 of them. Sold all of them in 48 hours.

Hearing that places are getting multiple lots of 10 in makes me think the supply may finally be on the up. Pretty amazing to think all 60 at Rays were gone so quickly. When was the last time there was this much demand for on model....

The spent cartridges were dated Jan. 15, 2013 so these were pretty close to straight off the line.

Just kidding, if it works for her thats great. The shield is a great firearm, i just cant believe the outburst in the shields all of a sudden. At least in my neck of the woods, ever since they were released i could walk right into the store and hold 4 at a time minimum in either caliber. I opted for a 9mm. Now they are fresh out and not sure when they will get more, like most other shops in the country.

I honestly can't stand the LC9, but she love's it & shoots it very well. I can't shoot that thing worth a dang....

They were hard to find when they were first released also, I'd show up on truck day every Sunday for 3wks. at opening & wait for them to unload. Made friends w/a guy that works there & he'd tell on Sat. what the truck sheet said they were getting in...The sheet was wrong the first 2 times!

I tried to just pay them for it & they call me when it came but that was against company policy...

Just picked up a Shield 9mm today. I went to my LGS yesterday to inquire about one and was talked into putting down a deposit. It was less than 24 hours before they called and said it was in. he also told that they recieved 30 a week ago. So it does soud like things are getting better for those who want a Shield.

Got it at Guns and Gear in Agawam MA. You have to call them and ask for it although I think they might be out of stock. Word is that you are now able to buy them directly from Smith as well

I bought the first two off the truck!!! I overheard them talking about them and had them call me as soon as they came in.
My comptac minatour should e in tomorrow. I had 4 of my friends also but them.

Damn, these slides are TIGHT! I had a custom 1911 that wasn't this farkin tight. The wife and I are gonna take these and shoot the tar out of em'. Whichever one functions with more reliability, etc. will be the hers.

Oh yeah they are! I took it down to clean it the first time and when putting it back together I thought I had messed it up as it was so difficult to rack....after 300 rounds it is still tight but manageable. It has loosened up quite a bit Just shoot the heck out of it
