Probably an obvious question, but wanted to share a couple shirts I just got from ncsheepdogs.com...

NRA, GOA and NAGR stickers on the vehicles, American Handgunner and assorted other "gunny" t-shirts, steely glare, lumpy waistline.

NOBODY messes with me.........more than once. ;)

Besides, when I'm on duty the uniform kinda gives it all away.

No t-shirts, stickers or advertisements of any kind. Around my neck of the woods, it doesn't pay to advertise.

When I had to send my new then LCP back for the recall. One of the rewards for being put out was a Ruger LCP baseball cap. I don't wear out in puplic because it advertises to everyone that I am packing. Sort of goes against discreet carry. JMHO

As much as I hate to admit it, public perception is generally not kindly disposed to such displays these days and 'bearding the lion' and antagonizing those on the fence that may not have had a negative view before doesn't serve the cause.

I don't disagree with the sentiments on the shirts at all, but confine my own wearing of such for trips to the range if I wear them at all.

I've found extreme displays or behavior by either side alienates those on the fence. Like it or not, rightly or wrongly a large part of this battle is going to be won in the court of public opinion. Right now there are expected reports (and I don't believe them) that the "public" wants more gun control. My personal belief is this is the result of 'push polling', or phrasing the questions to get the answers you want. But to non-gun owners, and many sheeple type personalities that, by nature, want to 'blend in' and 'go along with the crowd', even if they really didn't have an opinion before - when asked, if they think that's the way the majority is leaning they'll fall in line.

I choose not to give them an excuse. Just like the way I discreetly carry, conduct myself on the range, and go over and above to be reasonable but firm in my discussions about the issue with those we talking about, I'll reserve those types of shirts for the range/gun club. To each his own.

I have many, many dozens of tees, hoodies, jackets and hats for; races, events, teams, guitar and amp manuf., tractor and car stuff, companies, stores and services, various causes and yes, guns and gun stores. I am the swag king and usually a walking billboard for something or another.

A LGS shirt is the only "gun related" item in my wear rotation. The owner is a personal friend and gave it to me a while back. I usually wear it under something else and think about "who and where" before I toss it on.

It shouldn't be that way but it is. Sometimes flying under the radar is the easiest way to go. You know; "don't start no ****, won't be no ****"!
YMMV

I prefer folks to not know that I enjoy guns or advertise it in public. The uneducated get scared off by it.

In Ohio before CCW we had "Justifiable Need". My brother could tell when I wasn't carring by the gun logo clothing. I was always plain hatted when armed. Now we have CCW (lost some rights to get it) and I am almost always armed and wear a NRA Pattron pin (I think they're tie tacs) on my hat, and I get greatings from fellow members. Ivan

I usually try to keep a fairly low profile...boots, Stetson, button-down shirt with no logos.

A good percentage of the folks up here in our neck of the woods carry concealed. It's almost the rule and not the exception. It's just taken for granted that a guy is either carrying somewhere on his person or has a firearm in the truck somewhere. Don't need to advertise.
