If you compete?
A Cheap plastic poncho for rain protection, because once the match starts, its not over until everyone shoots.
Spare shoes in the truck, see above. Its called mud.
If you are old? Imodium, drug thats used to control the squirts caused by a bad breakfast or lunch.
Spare Toilet paper, cause the range might not have any. See a trend here?
Think this covers it.

About a year ago, I bought a large canvas tool bag with wheels and a collapsible handle, like luggage, from Harbor Freight. It has multiple pouches and pockets. Over the year, I have refined the contents so that I usually have what i need. No trouble to transport and full of many of the things the previous writers have suggested. It was less than $20.

I have different bags for different weapons. One for handguns. One for rifles. One for "the normal" safety & protection. I keep a very advanced First Aid Pack in my truck for any emergency (semi retired Volenteer Fire Fighter/EMT First Responder).

I like paper plates and orange adhesive target dots to go along with an IPSC target and staple gun and tape for targets.

Along with most of the other stuff already listed.

I second the recommendation of a towel. I sweat like a pig anyway, but put my ear protection on and man alive...

I think you had best figure in the cost of a double-axle trailer and hitch so you can haul all the suggested stuff to the range! Seriously, other than ammo and eye/ear protection the rest is optional and very dependent on what you intend to do at the range. Since I usually take more than one gun with me (often of another caliber) I try to make everything double-duty. Since that often means a 1911-type pistol I have a Remington 1911-Multi-Tool in there. It has a bit-holder and the more common firearms bits included as well as a barrel-bushing wrench and other tools that work just as well on a 15-22 as a 1911 or a 12-gauge scattergun. I don't carry a lot of cleaning supplies because that chore is best done at home under good lighting. If something has given you trouble in the past, take the supplies you need to fix it with you but resist the temptation to drag a gunsmith's kit with you. I do have the tools to do sight adjustments on any guns I take in the bag and even a pair of compact binoculars for zeroing purposes without running the target back and forth. Remember, the reason you go to the range is to shoot, not to spend the time futzing with the damn gun!

For range cleaning, I made up weed wacker lines. Melt one end to form a knob, slide a patch down the other and pull it thru the bore. Keep it and patches in a ziplock. Takes up zero room and works well.
While I carry a bag of cleaning gear in my range bag I never ever actually clean the gun at the range. And a boresnake work even better if you need it. Waste of time to clean a .22 every time you are at the range. Maybe every 3rd or 4th time but I still do not do it at the range.

Here is what I put in my range bag besides the guns and ammo.
Hearing and eye protection
Ziplock full of Allen tools
Ziplock full of batteries for sights
Combined bug spray/sun screen
Action timer
Iron sight glasses
extra Ziplock for CF cases
McFadden UCL
handwarmers for hands and .22 ammo
gloves if needed
Multibit screwdriver

Eye/ear-pro, blowout kit, water, a snack, gloves if it's chilly enough, ammo, targets, tape, multi-tool, little bottle of synthetic dry lube. All fits in a padded rifle bag/case (and occasionally my shotgun and some shells if I feel like beating up my shoulders for a while), except for the water (in a Camelbak, which is a bit moto but hey, it was free and it carries random little junk too).

I have what most have. I carry a flashlight and bore light with me. Flashlight just in case I have to check the action. Bore light to check for barrel obstructions.
