I may be losing interest in my 15-22 (I know that is blasphemy around here) because I have been shooting the heck out of my new Ruger 22/45 MKIII. I have two magazines for my Ruger and a speedloader which beats having to load my 15-22 magazines. I took both to the range last time and I never took the 15-22 out of the bag <gasp!>.

I have been hitting the same targets with my Ruger as my 15-22 out to 100 yards. I didn't know that pistols could be so accurate. So, with iron sights, both shoot about the same. But, I have to admit that the 15-22 with the Sweet .22 scope does a better job. Hmm, I guess I could mount the scope on the Ruger. Nah, that might look a little funny.

The beauty of shooting is that different firearms don't shoot the same. There are days when all I want to do is shoot my pistols, or shoot long or short distance targets, or just want to use my .223, etc. That's what's great about this sport. No one can say it's boring.

I say fire the hell out of your Ruger, but keep the S&W nearby as you'll no doubt wake up one day and find that she's the only gun that will scratch your itch.

Phil, Ruger owes you a kick back because I will now be buying that exact model of 22/45 thanks to your picture.

Just don't get rid of it. You'll want to shoot it soon after you do!

Enjoy the pistol. I love my .22 pistol more than anything, except my 15-22 :)

My High Standard Trophy Supramatic is 50 years old and STILL puts 10 rounds in a 1 inch circle at 25 yards, from a machine rest. That's after probably 50k through it over the five decades.

I have a S&W 22A and love to make cans (tin) dance. I only run a couple of mags through then its the 15-22's time.

I bought my M&P pair (15-22 and 22 pistol) for rimfire two gun competitions. So far I haven't found any close to where I am, but it's only been a month, and the clubs around here may have not gotten their schedules posted yet. Sometimes I wish I lived near a desolate area like some of the YouTube posters do so that I could set up my own two gun ranges.

Your pair looks like you're ready to go too. ;)

I take both my 15-22 & 22A-1 to the range with me every time I go, however I don't shoot both every time It just depends on what I feel like shooting;) ..... I would never get rid of either one! :D
