Great dogs, all, on this thread. Here's another of my faithful hunting dog Buck taken in 1984 when he was barely 1 yo on the back of a duckboat in Chincoteaque, VA.
One bitter cold day in Feb. my buddy and I went down to our goose farm to retrieve my camper. We let Buck run as we hooked up the trailer. Came time to leave and I gave a couple of blasts on the whistle and he came running, the good obedient dog he was. As he got nearer I noticed he was wet all over but every bit of water was frozen solid. What he did was to swim in the cow urine holding pond and he stunk like you know what. We put him in the cap and rode home with him like that. I'll never forget it.
