Let's see 'em - 4 legged best friends

Confession time - my wife also has a lap dog - NOT MINE! I hate the little ankle biter, and hand biter if she's holding him.

I take it you have not fed the GSD as he looks mighty hungry? Snack or a full meal?:D

Originally domestic and neutered he was abandoned during the real estate collapse. He lived his young formative years feral until I moved into the neighborhood. He then decided to move in with me. Still wild at heart he will shred any unsuspecting person who try to touch him. He will only tolerate me and lives with me as a normal domestic cat. He is like Jekyl and Hyde. I have to have the traveling vet come and give him the knock out dart every year just so he can get his exam. My buddy for the last 8 years.

Reminds me a lot of my first wife...........

It is very sad that in those days we did not have the surgical expertise to separate partial con-joined twins (which this young lady exhibits) that we do today. Just think how much it would have meant to her to have a normal life!

Boy...way to make a guy feel bad... :(

This old girl was adopted out of a shelter about six or seven years ago. She had been a feral cat and was turned in with a litter of kittens. The kittens were quickly socialized and relocated, but this gal was just too feisty to march to the top of anyone's take-home list. But my wife and I kind of liked her, so we rolled the dice.

She has been a delight. She tolerates other life forms and will let them get within three feet of her, but I am the only one she will climb up on and settle down for a nap. We have another cat that would really like to be friends, but she won't have anything to do with him.

This cat is pretty smart and has good situational awareness. You can see her making decisions and coming to conclusions. The other cat is loveable but kind of dim, which may be why she distances herself. I get the feeling that she sized him up at a glance and doesn't want to marry beneath her station.

We have no 4-legged friends in the house now. Lost 2 dogs and a cat in the past year or so. Just a 13 year old parrot to annoy us now. :-)

Here was the greatest dog I ever owned -- a Great Pyrenees named Allie. She lived to 13, and was my shadow. I am about at the point that I can think about getting another dog.
