What has happened to men's jeans

Either Lee or Wrangler seem to fit and wear OK. Levis 517 boot cut were always my favorites and seem to fit me best. But I refuse to pay $50 or more for a pair of jeans. Levis don't seem to be made of as good/heavy material anymore either.

Check out Diamond Gusset Jeans. They are AMERICAN made. Not cheap, but the special diamond gusset gives you room where you need it.

+1 for Diamond Gusset. I bought 3 pairs about 3 years ago and they still look great. Very well made, heavy, and fit perfect.

Wrangler..pretty good for the money. The relaxed fit does restrict any of the 'essentials' when your in a tight place......hmmmm haven't been near one of those recently...I'll have to look that up on the web.

I'm not much of a clotheshorse myself. I don't care where the jeans are made or who makes them, as long as they fit OK. I usually get jeans at Sam's, the house brand. They fit me OK & wear very well, & they are reasonably priced. A pair of those & a pocket t-shirt & I'm set!

Carhartt and Tractor Supply brand work great.
But I have so many pairs of 5.11 cargos left over from work - I wear them alot too.
Lost ~50 lbs. this past year, and have more pants that fit me now than ever before.

What is wrong with Wally World's "Faded Glory'" jeans. Very comfortable, very cheap and who gives a damn where they are made. ALL jeans are made overseas!

Yea kinda. All my work jeans are from WW and i just bought the Faded Glory last Sunday.

For outside work i tend to shop at higher end stores. Their jeans are better fitting and look better but i have never noticed jeans to be easily worn in. I have pairs from years ago that i wear weekly and besides a little fade they are still as strong as when new.

I've been a Wranglers fan, for the most part, for the last 45 years.
Their traditional style, 13MWZ, has always seemed to fit. In fact, I'm wearing a pair now.
And they're made in the USA.

I too like them Wrangler Jeans, the 13MWZs.......

If ya starch 'em up purty good, they's last longer and
manure don't stain 'em neither if'n ya got yur saddle-bronc re-ride after...The bulls have been through the chutes ;)

You're lucky...every time mine are washed they seem to shrink a size.

It's the dryer... That or food. Think that's my problem I really like food and now that I don't have to weigh in every 6 months after PT test I found some of my clothes are shrinking in the washer or dryer,,,,

I usually wear the Levi's 560 loose fit. Hate tight clothes. Years ago I liked JC Penny's store brand. I like wranglers but haven't seen them locally for a long time. Never cared for Lee, don't like the fit.

Been wearing Wranglers for years. Prefer the classic boot cut, but every now and then, will pick up some relaxed fit. Never try em on....just pick up my size and throw em in the wash.

Fit as good today as they did 20-30 years ago. It helps that I've stayed pretty much the same size, tho. Been wearing the same size since 1970.

Used to wear Lee back in the 60s and 70s....but they changed. Levi's just never did fit. Just not contoured to my contours. Found Wranglers in the 80s. Been buying them ever since. Seems to me they last just as long, wear just as well, as they always have.

Even used to send em to the cleaners to starch and press. Haven't done that in many, many years tho.

I don't miss those days, I am a wrangler fan or tractor supply. I wear the Duluth fire hose jeans when riding the Harley.

About a year after I retired, I bought a dry cleaners...I came to my senses a year later and sold it. The ONLY good thing about that whole experience was I could wear a freshly starched pair of jeans and shirt every day. Too expensive to do it now...back to wash and dry.

Wrangler is the way to go.

However, they must use metric sizes now as my last paid said "42" or something. (???)

Call them jeans, blue jeans, dungarees, whatever, has anyone noticed the great American pair has become a rag that fits nobody over the age of 16.

After being a life long Levis 505 wearer I have recently discovered they don't care about clothing the aging baby boomer, you know, the demographic that kept them alive and an American icon sought out throughout the world.

I usually resupply bluejeans about every 5 or 6 years and was horrified to find the new version sucks. Sits below the waist and is as thin as tissue paper and poorly made.

Found refuge in Lee, still a nice heavy fabric that sits at the waist where people my age need to wear them.

If you haven't been to the store, you're in for a rude awakening.

I agree...I prefer jeans that are baggy, high wasted, not hanging below the hip, heavy weight cotton...did I miss something? :)

At 75 I suffer from the dreaded combination of Dunlap's disease and OGDD. My belly done lapped over my belt, and I have Old Guy's Disappearing Derriere. I'm thinking of going to wearing suspenders all the time ("braces", if we have any Brits on the forum) instead of cinching up a belt so tight my ears pop and my shoelaces come untied. Lately the best-fitting jeans I've found to address the problem are Wranglers and one pair of Dickies jeans--good heavy denim, sensible fit, good price.

Call me stupid but after almost a year of my life spent on a ship off the Vietnam coast trying to support the ground troops, knowing that 58,000 good men died over there, I don't buy anything made in Vietnam or China. China supplied them. I will never forget. I always find the "made in" tag to see where my money will be going. I don't go to Walmart because 99% of their junk is made in China. And I'm thinking of buying my casket now so my daughter doesn't try to save money buying one for me that is made in China or Vietnam.

I wear Buddy's jeans. Cotton grown here. Made in the USA. And they are heavy and come in all waist sizes. I get size 41 waist. They make them however you want. I found them on a site that lists products made in my country. Not Mexico, not China. Right here. My Country.
