OK. Time to upgrade and get some new "toys".
Give me some ideas on a good Chrony and something I can hook to a lap top. Been thinking about a dedacated lap top just for shooting. I've also been looking into a portable power supply with a solar charger that can handle all this.

WOW... Lots happened Yesterday while I was out Playing
Scott... ya Gotta get a Chrono if yer Loading Rounds... Takes it to another step of Fun and OCD... ADHD...LOL... for $80 its a great addition to the Fun... I dont do the print outs...YET... easy ta setup and adds lots of Fun
Well my day went Great Yesterday... tested the Hydro Buffer some more... works awesome on my carbon 15... can really tell the difference..
Also discovered some of my ACCURACY issues... i have my Scope on this 1" Riser... well seems it is a Bit..ever so slightly... LOOSE.... So re-sighted and adjusted it and well as you can see from my site in... Tracking Rounds from upper Left to Just High to 4 On Target...
Heading to cabela's shortly for new Scope mount...
was a fun Day for sure... wind was whipping all day... so ended up shotting HandGun drills more than anything...
I also took a couple Pics of my range trip yesterday... Like maddmax... good thing I got Big Red for all my Stuffs.....
My Shooting bench..
and My Targets... Look WAY out and ya see the 100yd target... Cant see the gong at 200yds... its a Small orange dot...

There goes my beer fund... Good thing I drink Whiskey and well stocked like ammo (by the case). At first,I wondered what the weird bayonet was all about. I'm liking that a LOT. Simple,easy and doesn't take up a lot of space. IF it holds up,I can live with the (GULP),price. Brownells is good too (BAD when they recognize me by voice ),it hit my wish list so it won't get lost. That'll be handy when I start messing with the gas block (going to adjustable on one or two)and give me an actual fps so I know the bullet isn't loosing any "HP" scootin' down range. At one time we had a "group" chrono,but it finely died of old age......and for $100. more I can have a nifty little case too.

Well, my Chrony F1 is now in a box at the post office, on it's way to Amherst NY for an upgrade. So my load testing is on hiatus until it gets back.
Maybe this will give me the opportunity to drag my son out to the range Friday morning to shoot the Winchester while I try to get used to shooting the Sport with only an 8x scope.

Hey Stav, those cantilever rings you have on the scope look backwards. They typically lean to the front.
Actualy had ta do it that way... as well as the new Nikon P-Series mount i got.
Only way i can get it to SIT where my eyeballs like It.... and keep flip up site on...

I swear there was over 100bxs of herters brass .223 , a Bunch of black Hills 50rd boxes.... and at least 100-100rd CCI .22 LR....
No Re-Loading supplies... really need some Pistol Primers and Powder.. then ill gte rolling on .357 loads..
i got 5-100rd Boxes of Winchester 9mm roounds... so Am good there

If you're getting into reloading now, then you may have to resign yourself to buying the hardware and then watching it sit there, unused. All of the consumables (bullets, powders and primers) are in short supply.

Yeah. I have a seemingly perpetual back order for small pistol primers at Sinclairs.
I should have been a lot more paranoid earlier this year when I found Wolf SRPs at Wideners. I bought 5K, but in hindsight I should have bought 10K. Then I'd feel more comfortable using them in my 40 S&W.

I like the Nikon rings! Now just a brief word or two about my trip to the newest Cabelas, in Columbus Ohio, today. They did not have any AR15s, 1522's, 22ammo , 9mm, 223, 223 brass, powder, 22 cal bullets and primers. But they did have 5 chronys! At three different prices. All more expensive than Midway's ad. So I did not bite. I read this thread before I went in and I am drooling over that chony that brownells notified you about. It is a lot of money though. I think the days of $15/1000 Wolf primers is long gone.
Midway has "Coming Soon" notices for Tula primers, but those are priced from $26-30/1000...the same as for CCI primers. And while I signed up for notifications, I have yet to respond to one in the past two months that wasn't already sold out five minutes after the email arrived in my inbox.
Sinclairs has a written policy to not back order powder and primers, but they let me do just that. Now whether or not I see any of that order is up for debate, but the order still stands in their system.
I'm trying my best not to develop a hoarder's mentality, but the current state and federal legislation being proposed is so far beyond belief that it's impossible not to.

I didn't see anyone post about a ProChrono Digital Chronograph by Competition Electronics CEI-3800, Been using one for about five years now and use the USB computer Interface to hookup to a laptop. works very well cable is about 25 feet long I just keep all the shooting data in the unit then download it to the laptop when I get home. Here's a link to their site, I found it online for 99.00 and the Interface was 49.00 extra set of diffusers about 8.00.

All of these chronograph makers really need to start writing data to SD cards and forget the cable interfaces.

Makes things easier if you are doing a lot of reloading. I have one dedicated to 5.56/223 and one for 45acp that gets swapped back and forth for 9's. I have plenty of 9's & 45,so a swap isn't all that bad with just those two.
I have a buddy that has two or three Dillons and a few more Rock Chuckers in his reloading room. The Rock Chuckers are for his precision rifle loading and the Dillons for everything else.
