945-1 PC SKU Identification Help

I need you assistance. I have looking for a particular edition that you can find at the below link. It is two tone with Blake on all rounds on slide and frame with flats polished bare stainless. The cocking serrations are the wavy form, not inverted scales. I really need to find the REAL SKU for the pistol. The one in the link has a serisl# BAMXXXX. I saw a pic of another specimen with SN# BAM0083,

I emailed S&W it is a 170227 made in 2003. I have responded asking if they would provide the number made and the serial number range. I will post their answer when it arrives.

I also found a 2009 S&W catalog document identifying a 2009 made 170300 as the same gun.here is the link

Curious as to why you want the SKU, how will it help? I doubt the gun will ever be made again or that one is sitting around on some dealers shelf. Am I missing something? You just need to keep a close eye on all the sale/auction sites, may take months or years.

I have the 170300, it has the fishscale serrations which is the way I like it. Had a chance to get the wavy model and passed, they did offer it in just silver finish also. I believe there was a earlier two-tone fishscale run maybe a no-dash version but it would probably have a different sku# also. I would guess no more than 500 of the wavy two-tones, good luck with your search.

Seems it won't be cheap if you find one on the auction sites. Not the compact model you inquiring about, but close.

Jag22. You would be surprised at what you can stumble up on if you know what to search for. I just bought a 945-1 SKU 170173, all stainless polished flats like the current model less the slide slots for an even 1000. I have another just like it that I paid 1850 for. Just could not pass at that price. QWhat isn't out there today may be tomorrow.

The factory told me there was a run of 130 Pcs of them back around 2003.

LOL....I am mucho glad that I was outbid. This is my 20th day in the hospital. Doing well now but was pretty near gone. I bid that via iPad while heavily narc'd up! I do not even remember bidding. A few days later I pulled up mygunbroker and about had a heart attack!

Still don't understand what you are doing, are you doing a google search for a sku as opposed to S&W 945? I don't think I've ever seen a sku listed on any auction or sale site. Can you explain further please.

Jag22' do a search on 170300. You will pull up many. The GB that is spoken of was listed as a 170173 even though it isn't. Search 170173 and this on and others will come up. The more different ways you can search something the greater the opportunity of finding it. Besides, I am laid up in the hospital and have too much time on my hands. I am learning about PC guns and asking questions. Not sure what your concern is but best wishes.

You don't need to waste any money to get doped up. If you have the PC addiction, your body automatically kicks in a special blend of adrenaline at the first sight of a model you don't have. It numbs all of your common sense and launches you on a bidding mission. The worst fear is that you will be outbid. I have been there, done that. The only bids I have regretted are the ones that I stopped bidding on. I have been buying PC pistols since 1993. I tried to downsize my collection in 2011 but seem find and buy another model every time I sell one. If you have the PC addiction, you have a select group of friends.

Sig, I had no concerns, just wasn't sure what you were doing or why. I tried it and got some matches but seems the model # worked better. Anyway, glad I learned something new. I have a C&R so most of what I buy is pretty old, before they had SKUs so I never thought using them in a search. Hope you get well and can go home soon.
