Hello fellow Smith & Wesson AR15 forum members ...

I have a very quick question that I am hoping someone here on the S&W AR15 threads could possibly assist me with. ;)

A few weeks ago, I *thought* that I saw a special "Free Shipping" or a "Product Discount" code / key for Smith & Wesson Forum Members when ordering items through "The Mako Group / FAB Defense" website.

The Mako Group - Military Grade Weapon Accessories and Equipment

I have searched high and low for it, but to no avail.

I even attempted to contact an individual here on the forum who supposedly is affiliated with the company ... I believe his name / alias is "MakoDefense", but alas, I haven't heard anything back from him (his last log on was on March 26th, 2013).

So I do apologize for posting this as it is somewhat trivial, but I'd like to possibly acquire that free shipping code because I am planning on placing an order for a buttstock and some other items to add to my Smith & Wesson M&P 15T rifle, and with today's economics, saving any money when money is already tight to come by, is greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone / anyone who takes the time to read this post. I look forward to your replies.

Take care,

Not sure about the code. Just a warning, it will be months before you receive your order, but they will charge you immediately.

Exactly what he said above. I just received my order finally that was placed in early jan. Just remember, their mags are coming on a ship out of Israel, so it takes awhile.

Sorry, I did not get an email alert from your message. I responded to it with the code. Here it is again: FREE-GRND
It woks on orders over $99. Make sure you do not choose any shipping method - just input the code and leave all of the shipping choices alone, or the stupid cart charges you anyway.

The non-Magazine orders ship much more quickly. We have guys volunteering to work extra hours to ship the non-magazine orders. It may take a couple days longer than normal to ship, but the non-magazine orders will ship out pretty quickly.

We have not charged cards when orders are placed for a couple of months. Because of the longer lead times on magazines, we soon began charging when the orders ship.

It will not be months before he receives his order, it will be several days to ship and shipping time.

The mags ship out of New York. New magazines coming out of Israel are being shipped by air.

Accurate lead times have always been listed on the website, to the best of our ability.

OK. Thank You for posting the correct info. I knew when I ordered that it would be awhile. I even posted somewhere on another thread that I felt that I would get my order filled from your company before my Brownells order. Sure enough I got your order first!:D I thought the OP was ordering mags, "some other items", and should be aware of the delay. BTW- the mags are nice!

Yeah, we are trying to encourage people to order mags separately from other items, so that we can identify and ship the non-magazine orders more quickly.

That is a bit odd as I did place an order with them a few weeks ago and wasn't charged immediately ... they charged me once the items had been ready to ship.

Sure, there was a bit of a wait from the time of the initial order until I had the product "in hand", but that was to be expected with regard to the HUGE demand placed upon all firearms product distributors it today's political / social climate / clammorfest ... and especially upon the smaller companies like The Mako Group with a limited number of personnel fulfilling those orders.

;)

I ordered in mid-January and was charged immediately. I ended up cancelling my order after about a month and a half. Took 3 weeks to get my refund. I guess they changed the policy on charging right away. I'm just letting you know my experience.
