Which vehicle would you choose if you could only have one?

I'd sure like that car Ralph Lauren has: 1939 Bugatti Type 57SC (S=surbaissé = undersling. C= compreseur = supercharged) with Atalanta body made out of duraluminum, designed by Jean Bugatti. Only 4 made, one crashed, only three now. Any place that wouldn't take me, I'd walk.

benz gelandewagen amg 63 with flat black paint. don't have anywhere to go ,but they go about anywhere you want.

Not the intent of thread.....but when reading title was thinking,I already got it.F150 work truck....it is the only four wheel vehicle I own.Rather be on two wheels, haha.

Wife's hotrod Subie (WRX in St.Wgon clothes) would be "our" weapo....uhhh,vehicle of choice.

Following in the footsteps of the choose 5 guns thread,

Which vehicle would you choose (can be one you don't own now) if you had to pick one to bug out due to zombie attack, plague, financial meltdown, whatever.... Even if you are staying put where you are, you still will need to get around.

I think I'd probably want an H1 Hummer.

.

Given the above situations described, one would have to assume there would be very limited availability of any gasoline, etc. So, I'd opt for something that was economical on gasoline. This would certainly be a issue in the case of a financial meltdown. In the case of a zombi invasion, my wife and I would would not want to stay in a populated area.

Currently I drive a Toyota Yaris. If I'm careful, it will average 46 MPG. A full tank will take me over 450 before I need more gas. That would be a big help to us in a financial crash. And if we had to bug out, that would certainly get me and my wife out away from population centers to a local where we could establish ourselves in a dwelling place, start a garden, do some hunting and fishing, etc.

So ya got a 210 mile Cruising range;)?
Actually at last count the old girl still gets 16.8 mpg and that's because I'm running her on that damn ethanol gas. If it were regular gas, I suspect she would still be getting around 18 mpg. Plus ya can't beat the monthly note :D

A good Chevrolet Avalanche 2500 HD Z71 4WD, optioned with a Lingenfelder twin turbo, supercharged 7.0 ZO6 Corvette engine and Quadrasteer. The versatility of the Avalanche is awesome, and with 4WD and 505 HP of induction, there wouldn't be much you couldn't get out of or away from. The Quadrasteer would have a turning radius like a Honda Civic, 37 feet. If GM would build it I would buy it.

I'm pretty happy with my Toyota FJ. It will go pretty much anywhere I want.

Of course if I'm made to just have one vehicle I want an EarthRoamer EarthRoamer

My FJ

BMW R100GS Paris Dakar

I love 4x4 trucks. ... Would love a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, but it is out of my price range, I currently drive and am pretty happy with my Toyota Tacoma 4X4 double cab.

Yeah, one of those Ford Anti-terror armored vehicle. One of these with a trailer in the back with two motorcycles... yeah, that would do it...

I can't find the exact photo... but I saw it this past weekend at the gun show... wish I had taken a photo. Looked like this but without the chrome wheels...and it had a cut out on top with covered area for shooting... looked cool as hell...

I'll just keep the one I have. If the road gets blocked up you'll need something that's real maneuverable with no problems off road that's real 4WD with all 4 turning. If I need to haul more, I'll just hook up the off road trailer... even then, I'll still be able to turn around in the shadow of most pickups!
