CURRENT DESIGN IS DISCONTINUED

If you are having issues with the current design please email me at [email protected] so I may be able to contact everyone that is having problems once the new design is up and running.

I have updated the first post to reflect this, but I also wanted to ensure everyone following the thread sees this.

Hopefully your Natchez order works out, I have had a couple of small packages go missing earlier this month even though the tracking numbers claim delivered.

I just sent their customer service an e-mail explaining what happened. Hopefully they will reply soon. That order was almost $150.00!

(I know... kind of off topic, but it's a customer service thing!)

I just received my brass deflector in the mail and I am thrilled! I put over 100 rounds through my 15-22 and did not have any issues with jamming or rounds ejecting. All the brass fell neatly at my feet for easy pick up. I would recommend this to anyone who does not like having shells flying everywhere.

Just wanted to let everyone know that I am working on a complete redesign for the brass deflector.

Here is one of the newer designs I have been working on. Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I will have handful of prototypes to send out for final eval.

This looks like it'll do the trick. I've played around with bending the spares you sent me, and I bent one outward quite a bit. It bounces the brass back toward me, so it's not a long term solution but it reduces bounceback a lot. I'm looking forward to trying the new design.

That is what I tried also... bending the aft end away from the rifle. It made a big difference in preventing cases from bouncing back into the chamber, but they were ejecting towards me.

The new design looks very good in my opinion. Then again, I'm just a dumb redneck with a tool box, not an engineer!

Deflector working great!

I purchased your deflector a little over a month ago. Today I put it on my new 15-22 MOE (moved up from the Walmart version) and went to my shooting spot. Due to an enormous butterfly and horsefly problem I only had time to run the factory 25 rounder and 4 Promag 32 rounders down the pipe. I did slow fire as well as rapid fire and had ZERO FTF, FTE or any bounce back problems from the gun with the deflector in place.

Needless to say, I seriously love my MOE and being a lefty, I love the deflector. I know you are redesigning it to help some issues that have come up. I admire how you are listening to your customers and how you are taking care of us. You are a stand up guy and we appreciate it.

Just wanted to give some feedback on both the deflector as well as the guy who makes it. Well done!

Happy Fathers Day to All

are they not available anymore i went to the site, an when you try to click on the picture there is no link to place an order?

How about this... I will make a donation to the forum instead. Maybe everyone else in a situation like mine can do the same as well. If that would be acceptable to you.

It always a good idea to support the forum. I will leave the decision up to the customers who have the Gen 1 design on what they want to do. I do not want anyone to feel that I am trying to get them to pay for a replacement.

It is good to hear that the Gen 1 Brass Deflectors are working flawlessly for you. However if you do run into any issues please do not hesitate to let me know.

when it's the new desing going to be ready???

The Gen 1 design has been discontinued. I am working on several variations will have prototypes soon. I will have the new 25° and 45° mounts by the end of the week. I am finalizing another design that will work with the current picatinny mount. Once that is done, a small batch of 4 different shield designs will be made.

Again if anyone with the current design is having problems please send an email to [email protected]

Any chance we can see CADs of the 4 designs?

BTW I sent you an email llast week as I'm still having some bouncebacks. Really looking forward to trying a new design.

I will post up some images of what I am working on in a couple of days. The one I posted before is the 25° design.

I have received your email, sorry for the lack of communication on my end. This is the first chance I have had in the last few weeks to sit down and update everyone on what is happening with the brass deflectors. I have been swamped at my day job with a major project that just ended today and working on the redesigns for the brass deflectors.

No worries about the non-response. Do you need a volunteer to test?

Should I expect a response to the email I sent? I'm having casings bouncing back into the chamber.

Also, the coating is starting to wear off on the rifle side of the deflector

Not yet. As he said in his answer to me above he's tied up and what little free time he has is going toward the revisions.

Would someone please post up a link where these bad boys can be had??

I'd like to support a forum Vendor, too.

My pal lets me go out to his place in the Irish Hills and pop off rounds so I try to be as clean as possible.

Crawling around looking for casings in the woods is kinda a drag.

We put down a 10x10 tarp too, but there are plenty of casings flung beyond it.

This little item sounds as tho I could put it to some good use.
