M&P Shield Extended Magazine Floor Plate Teaser

Our plate covers the hole but is all one piece and made of aluminum
we will not have a plastic plug that we make anytime soon Sorry man.
If you know who makes them we can probably get them and sell them ?
Thanks

Keep my suggestion in mind-LOTS of Shield owners will buy one. I'm surprised that S&W hasn't come up with this aftermarket money maker yet. It's a blaring naked part of the Shield as S&W put no back strap on the grip but overlooked cosmetically yet securely plugging the hole....

Mine should be here tomorrow.

Ordered 2. Hope one fits my 7. Round mag in my shield .40

Anyone else puttin em on?

Just ordered mine. Also I can find 7 round clips easier than 8. If this works out I will get a 7 round clip an add this.

USPS delivered was held up :( won't get mine until tomorrow. Post some impressions when you get them!

Just installed mine on the factory mag. You really need to slam the mag. to get it to seat correctly. Maybe it will loosen with time. Hopefully it will not have any affect when fired. (FTE or FTF)

Let us know how it works at the range. If I get mine early Fri. I will be able to try mine I go to the range on Fri.

Arrived pretty quickly (ordered Sat night, received Wed). Fit and finish is nice. I don't think it affects concealment at all since I wear it IWB at about 4 o'clock area and its pointing down against backside. Just hope it doesn't cause any mag drop issue again like I had prior to sending back to S&W. Range trip in a few days. Don't see a need putting it on the longer mag since there is plenty of grip already for pinky.

How would the baseplate effect that? If I'm inserting a full mag with one in the chamber even with the stock baseplate it needs to be slammed in there to get it to seat. Unless the baseplate is too tall and its hitting the bottom of the grip, I don't think it would change anything about inserting the mag.

The mag. would not seat with one in the chamber. Played with it and it now seems to OK. Need to get to the range now.

Received mine today as well. First of all I can't leave enough of anything alone, and already modified it before I took the pictures below. #1 fit and finish excellent. #2. don't know exact weight, but would be comparable to a pierce "pinky" extension. #3. design excellent. For maximum concealment the base plate same size as factory with approx. 1/4" extension at the end to support your thumb only. No extra thickness where not needed. Much better design than a pierce. My modification was I wrapped the NDZ extension with a piece of rubber X-treme grip tape to match my X-treme grip. (your thoughts?) The first picture shows it on the gun. Second picture comparison of stock 8 rd extension vs NDZ extension. Third picture comparison stock 7 rd vs NDZ. Last picture shows the bottom. Again, the fit, the design, and the profile excellent.
Going to order another one tomorrow.

Ordered one to try on a 7 round mag. As others have said you have to push, or slam the plate pretty hard to get it on, but it is well made and fits well.

With it I'm able to get a good 3 finger grip and it conceals fine, just about the same as the regular 7 round plate. For me the 8 round mag makes the grip a little too long to conceal well. This mag plate gives a good grip while maintaining concealability.

I will be ordering 2 more for my other 7 round magazines.

Yeah. I have two 6 round mags for my shield 40

I out the NDZ mag plates on those. My 7 round mag is fine without. It is long enough

No need to slam or push hard? When you first put on it stops about halfway on, all you do is push down the magazine spring plate with a small screw driver or ball point pen and continuing sliding it on until it locks. If you push or slam hard you will break the spring plate indent plastic tab on top.

Watch the video it shows how to push down the pin
