What's your favorite aftershave....I mean other than Hoppes #9?

Grand father and father used Bayrum ,I tend to like something with a more citrus base. Eau Savage by Christian Dior was a favorite for many decades now Happy by Clinique in the day and Issey limited by Issey Miyake for evenings.

COLOGNE

Never in a million years would I have believed I'd wear pricey colognes, but after inheriting a shoebox full of Guerlane, Dolce, Thalium, Antonio Puig, etc. It grew on me. Just be careful a little can go a long way. You don't wanna be an IROC guy (I reek of cologne). We were never allowed to wear it to work, to some people it's like huffing spray paint. When it's my money it's old spice original, after shave NOT cologne & it by far gets the most compliments.

Going on 50 years

In 1964, I was in North Carolina, it was really hot and humid. An acquaintance of mine recommended "Mennen's Afta".

I have used it ever since. Thankfully, Mennen hasn't screwed-up the formulation. Also works on sunburn, etc.

I really like 4711. But it's just too hard to find. You can get Aqua Velva most anywhere. Old Spice is OK too, but my wife doesn't like the smell.

I don't use after shave, I never got in the habit. I would use cologne when going out.

You fellers have given me some good ideas as to what to wear to smell like a man until now I thought it was sweat and gunpowder, mixed with a little chewing tobacco. And a nice bourbon for special occasions.

I have aftershave from back in the 60's & 70's - might splash some on around Christmas or a special anniversary (20, 25, etc).

Wife doesn't like it much (I don't like perfume much either).

Shaving - hot water to lather up and cold water to rinse - Colgate or Barbasol leaves just enough residual fragrance (i.e. not much.)

Nothing in November ;)

Actually, last time I shaved was the day I signed out of the army.

Personally I LIKE Skin Bracer, Aqua Velva, Old Spice, Pinaud Clubman and that's what I will normally slap on depending what mood I am in that day. When I want to please my wife when we go out I'll wear Davidoff which is her favorite. I don't dislike the Davidoff but just really like the smells I grew up with instead of the more "girly" stuff.

Have to revive this thread. I have been using Aqua Velva Musk lately since going back to using after shave lotion. I used to use Old Spice and liked it, but I think the Musk scent is better and my Fiancee likes it.:D A lot.....................:)

British Sterling since my youth! British Sterling Silver for a change of pace!

Pinaud Clubman but I stopped using it because my wife and kids said I smelled like an old man. Now I usually use Nivea after shave balm.

Old Spice, Agua Velva... so your the old guy I smelled in line at the grocery store! Issey Miyake cologne when the wife and I are going out sometimes.
