Im tossing around the idea of doing this to my shield. I think white would look good but now that I have seen gold, It would look good too.
How easy is it to remove? I don't want to have to put anything on the gun that will do anything to the actual finish..

I colored my slide today. I used finger nail polish. I did a base coat of white. Then on the M&P 9c part I put a coat of pink on it. It partly came off, so it was an ombre effect. I then put pink glitter polish on it. It tried to remove the polish on the M&P 9c part and it partly came off. It looked so cool slightly white and glittery I left it. The logo is all white and the side that says Smith and Wesson, etc. I painted it white and did glitter on it. It stands out more than the M&P 9c part. I am very pleased with the results.

I Don't care for how mine came out. Wish I would have done a better job. How do I post pics from an android phone with tapatalk?

Easy to wipe clean and start over, it takes a few tries sometimes to get it how you want it.
I am glad this thread got started, I was gunna start one if I hadn't seen this one. What do you guys do for the polymer receiver? Same concept?
Yes I have heard the same thing. I have heard of using whiteout for the frame.

This looks really nice. I may just have to do this. I have 9mm, .40S&W and .45ACP mags. Sometimes they are hard to tell apart. Here is a tip for you guys. Instead of using a cloth or tag to wipe away excess of paint, take a piece of folded up phonebook paper, put the nail polish remover on it and it will not pull paint out of the grooves like a rag or cloth does....
I done my slide and mags in silver Testors paint out of kit car section at Wal-Mart. Ended up removing from slide as I didn't like it. Loved it in my mags though.
