So after 2 years of having my MP 22 pistol i finally decided to do some real shooting with it rather than just plinking. I noticed after a few hundred rounds of shooting off a rest that I had to use the 6 oclock hold at 21ft and still shot to the top of the center red 1 inch circle. This was also after i adjusted the rear sight all the way down. Is there any cures for this as i like more of a centered or combat sight picture. It really stinks when im trying to shoot cans at 15+ yards.

Have you cleaned the barrel really good from your last outing? Do you have the sights where the dots are lined up in row? Or do you put the front sight on top of the rear dots?

It's very clean. I'm a fanatic. Top front sight post level with the top of rear insert, normal sight picture

I have shot a half-dozen M&P22's off of sandbags (including my own) and every one shot high, even with the rear sight all the way down. The only way to get point of aim is to replace the front sight with something taller, or get aftermarket fiber optic sights, which is what I did. Mine is sighted for 25 yards and works great.

Check out the adjustable set from Williams Gunsight. They have both adjustable and fixed sight sets.

Cool! I thought i had read on here once or twice that this is common. Did you order the only set they have listed? I saw on dawsons precision that that have many different heights and widths for the front.

Williams has both adjustable and fixed sights, just scroll down farther. It's worth the extra money for the adjustable. If you order over the phone, they will set it up green front and red rear or red front and green rear, which is what I have.

Dawson uses a smaller fiber in their front sight and it's harder to see than the Dawson.

HI VIZ makes a replacement front sight that comes with 3 different colors, red, green and white. Model # MP2012. 29.49 at tactical-store.com.

I have had mine out a few times since I bought and have the same issue. Called S&W, they said I could send it in and they'd take a look at it. I was thinking I would look for a really small washer to put between the adjustment screw and the sight. Sucks that this gun needs aftermarket sights right from the factory.

If you're going to put a washer under the adjustment screw on the rear sight, that will just make it worse. You have to raise the front sight, not the rear.

Raising the front sight is the same as lowering the rear sight. (Raising rear sight blade will raise the group) From Page 22 in the owners manual, so if I lower the rear sight it will lower the group. I can push the adjustable part of the rear sight down more than the adjustment screw will push it down. If I add a washer it will/should push the sight down a little more.

Iv got a set of XS Big dot night sights for an M&P22 you can have cheap if you want them. I ordered the wrong ones as I meant to order them for a 9mm.

That makes alot more sense now lol

I have a set of Advantage Tactical sights for an M&P 22 listed in the classifieds. Just sayin.

Well just let me know. I do not even have an M&P22 so they are just sitting in the package on my workbench. I love the two sets I have on other guns.

I went with this rear sight
https://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=80001898-1388518387
and this Dawson front sight
Sight/S&W/Front/M&P22/Opt/.160T/.125W/Ramped/Tools Included
021-211
It's dead on @ 15yards.
I used the Sightmark .22LR Boresight to get very close to dead center before going to the range.
It works great on pistols with fixed barrels.
My wife is holding the gun in the picture.
