I got to handle a friend's M&P 9mm. This one may have been a smaller configuration, if the pistol comes in more than one size. Wow! It made me want to keep it; the slide action was very smooth as was the trigger. Impressive.

Sounds like the M&P Shield. It is smaller, single stack mag with 7 round 9mm or extended 8 round. I just bought one and can't wait to hit the range and really give it a workout. Nice size for concealed carry.

After having Glocks for 20 years, I switched completely off them and went to the M&P line. I still drink Kool-Aid, just a different color of Kool-Aid now!

The M&P 9c was my first. Now I have the Shied 9 and plan on picking up a full size this week. They've become like tattoos. The more I acquire, the more I want.

It must be; I think I was told that the magazine held 8 rounds. I didn't get to fire it, but I would like to sometime.

Don't touch it or shoot it! You will catch a disease from it, the only cure for this disease is to buy an M&P. Then once you buy an M&P the disease spreads causing you to buy more M&P's. I have this disease and so does my wife, she got it from me. Be careful, handle with extreme caution!

Ha Ha! I got the disease first and then it spread to my husband! Now the youngest daughter is showing signs of catching the disease..

uh oh... january 2013, i had no M&P's. then i bought a M&P 40C. i now have that, a M&P 15-22, and 2 M&P shields(9 and 40). it is a very contagious and spreading disease because they are such nice guns...good luck not avoiding it...

I bought a Shield 9 back in Feb., an M&P15 Sport a couple weeks ago, and I pick up my M&P9 FS after work today. I now have the hat trick.

I have an M&P 9mm full size with crimson trace, and an M&P .22. Love 'em both. However, I recently shot the 9mm Shield at the range and loved it! Now I'm looking for a .40 Shield to shoot before I make my decision on a 9mm or .40 shield. I already have a Sig P-238 Equinox and a Sig P-938 Nightmare for my everyday concealed carry. The fever continues!

Contagious to say the least. I have 6 M&Ps (8 if you include the extra barrels for conversion) and the safe is about filled to the max with ammo, magazines and accessories.... time to get a bigger safe!!

M&P's and Glocks are my addiction, went from 1 to 5 in a short time, but because of being in the Air Force and traveling all the time it had been 30+ years since I had purchased any firearms.

I was also infected by the same disease. Caught it about the same time as Speedyquad and now have a full size 9, compact .40 (with a 9c barrel as well), the 22 M&P pistol and an M&P 15 Sport. Now that I carry I am thinking about a smaller one like a Shield or Bodygaurd as well. Is there a cure?

I currently have an M&P9 Pro Series 4.25 inch and a 9C. I am looking at getting a C.O.R.E. 5 inch in 9mm next, then a Shield 9 then an M&P22....... Yea it's a sickness.
