What was the last movie you saw, and did you like it?

My wife and I saw Gods Not Dead. It was great.

I saw this just last night. I have to ask:

Did you like it because you're a Christian, or because you thought it was a good film?

The acting, production, directing, and writing were awful. I thought they really missed an opportunity to make an interesting movie that explored the debate, instead choosing to make a fragmented movie that painted everyone other than the protagonists as atheists, which I don't think is an accurate reflection of the majority view of religion.

The Lone Ranger. Johnny Depp is amazing. We gave it a 9 on the 10 point scale.

The Leggo Movie, was awesome! Also enjoyed the new Capt. America movie, but HOLY COW it was violent for a PG-13. If you're watching something by yourself though, do yourself a favor and watch Repomen with Jude Law.

Watched part of "The Train" last night before I ran out of energy and went to bed. I hadn't seen it before, and liked what I saw a lot. Lancaster, Paul Scofield and Jeanne Moreau and some wonderful old steam locomotives.

WE have to have satellite TV due to nearby mountains. So, we rarely go to movies. But we are movie addicts and mini-series (Walking Dead, GOT, Fargo, SOA, TURN, Penny Dreadful, Black Sails, True Blood, Justified, etc.). Saturday night, the wife was away at a business conference and I turned on "Splatterday". The feature was "Frankenstein's Army"==a low budget, eastern European (Russian?) movie about a squad of Russian soldiers sent to capture Dr. Frankenstein during WWII. So bad, it was enjoyable. Lots of gore, no nudity and some bleeps. The "monsters" were half man and half machine, with metal crab claws, diver's helmets for heads, etc. No two were alike. Would be worth $3.99 but not much more.

None will ever be as good as The Movie Channel's Drive-In Saturday Night with Joe Bob Briggs. Each week, a low budget, cult classic with historical and production note brought to you direct from his trailer park by Joe Bob Briggs.

We loved it.

Not a fan of Hollywood in general and don't give them a lot of my $.

Last movie on TV:

The Lone Ranger on Starz.

Idiotic, juvenile, unrealistic, silly and we loved it.

Not a fan of Depp, either, but he was entertaining in this movie.

Went to see the new GODZILLA just yesterday. Last time I was at a commercial Theater was maybe...2007? maybe 2006. Been some time.

I almost fell over when my drink and a popcorn was.....TWELVE DOLLARS!! Gasp!

Godzilla was FUN...pure and simple. No real thinking required....Simple plot........lots of noise and destruction...the Military portrayed honorably........guys shooting M-4 carbines at 300' tall monsters......LOL.

The youngest son and I saw Spiderman yesterday. Pretty good stuff, but it ain't no Captain America. We usually see the latest super hero flick out at the time. I think we are waiting on the new X-Men release next.

The last movie we saw in the theatre was "The Monuments Men". Good WWII flick and the George Clooney character was actually based on a guy from the University of Iowa art department.

Last I saw in the theater was The Lego Movie. Loved it. The kids loved it. We had a blast.

At home I've been too busy watching Justified on Amazon Prime, that I haven't really had time to watch movies. I'm half way through season 3 and loving it. Great show. Lots of swearing though, so keep that in mind.
