Guys/Gals,

Just want to throw a word of caution out to anyone ordering a High Noon non-molded holster. I ordered a Bare Asset for my Glock 30 a few weeks ago and when the holster arrived it clearly didn't fit, not even close. The trigger guard is hitting where the retention screw is and will not even go into the holster. I e-mailed the company twice now and finally got a reply 6 days later telling me to....

"What I would like you to do is push and twist your gun in there. You won't hurt the gun or holster. It should seat all the way down to where the trigger guard is hitting the stitching. I'd offer to take it back and stretch it out for you, but I know you will be able to with a little bit of force." Exact quote...

I've already removed the retention screw (with gun unloaded of course) and tried everything to get the firearm into the holster, it's not going in and even worse it's completely pulling back the slide!

I've currently e-mailed them back explaining to them this a very important safety concern and I'd be willing to send the holster back in for adequate testing. Plain and simple, it doesn't fit and I really don't like the advise I received to push and twist my gun in there. I'm pretty disappointed at this point that they didn't tell me to send the holster back immediately. I wanted your opinions of what you would do. It wasn't a very expensive holster but that's not the point.Should i even send it back or let the dog chew it. If this issues is not resolved I'll post the entire e-mail conversation (I was very polite, and more importantly concerned) so you can choose more wisely when ordering a holster for concealed carry.

Pictures attached for your opinions.

Thanks in advance,

WB

That looks terrible, I don't blame you for being unhappy.

My suggestion is to politely ask for a refund so you can spend your hard earned dollars elsewhere.

Obviously its a holster for a different gun, not yours.
I'd call them and tell them so, and ask for a refund or replacement. Have you emailed them your photo?

Yeah, they sent the wrong holster, plain and simple.

That's an easy fix, but their lack of a quick response is troubling. I'd send it back, get a refund, and move on to a better holster manufacturer.

This reminds me of a friend that is quite large around the middle. Salesman asks him his waist size. He says "38, but a 44 feels so good I wear a 52!"

I stand a better chance fitting in my high school jeans than that gun in the holster.

Gotta ask, since you only mentioned sending e-mails, but did you send them the pics shown here? If so, I would think they could see the obvious problem.

I did send them the picture with the original email. They said it's a non molded holster and to twist it in there.... They haven't responded yet to my latest email.

It looks like it's the correct holster, the tension screw looks like it's incorrectly placed. They should either exchange it for a correctly built holster or refund your money.
Compare it to this one on their websight.
Bare Asset

The only way a holster maker who saw that picture would think that fit is ok is if the maker has been too long around the fumes from the dyes used in coloring the leather. :)

I agree with most of the replies here, thats got to be the incorrect holster. I've purchased a few holsters that were tight, but the best advise I received was to put the fire arm in the plastic bag (it came in) and force it down in the holster and leave it for a few days. Stretches it just right. Works great, I've done several holsters this way.............but I don't think it will work for this one.

Out of Character

High Noon's owner is personally known to me. This is a reputable firm that turns out a quality product. In this instance, it seems quite clear that a mistake in packaging was made.

There's no magic in making and molding holsters. All the holster companies use gun castings, obtained from the same sources, upon which to build, fit and mold the holster where necessary. The holster companies also have salaried employees who vary in competence and who also have good and bad days.

My suggestion is to return the holster ℅ Mike Punzone, along with a polite note and I'm certain they will rectify the situation.

I've been selling holsters for 30 years. That is simply the wrong holster. Looks like it might hold a Kahr-sized pistol perhaps. Best wishes in getting it resolved. Marc

I have been using lots of High Noon Holsters exclusively for over 15 years now. Never a problem with any of them. I mainly use their high end horse hide but do have a few of the economy IWB holsters that worked very well. Send that holster back for replacement or refund. Bill
